Need to get a bigger barrel.

This is an average curling iron. There's nothing particularly special about it, but it does the job and I'm satisfied with the product.

Doesn’t get as hot as a conair and the curls dont stay as long as other irons , decent but not the greatest

The curls only hold for about 4-5 hours with good quality hairspray

I have had a few different Hot Tools products and have always liked them. I'm happy with how my hair looks and style holds up. This curling iron though, I have had for about 18 months and it is not working anymore. My previous Hot Tools curling iron lasted years and years with using it an average of 5 days a week. I'm disappointed that this one has made it less than 2 years. I thought it would last longer.

I am not the best at using curling irons so this might be a user issue not a product issue. I think this is a great deal and from what I heard it works better than let's say Revlon or other drug store brands. But I find the clamp to be so tight. And because it's a little hard to maneuver for me I couldn't do it. I think a wand would be much easier for beginners to curling

The curling iron heats up nicely but the reviews never say what "one inch" is measuring. I had no idea so the one inch (diameter) was too big for my short hair. It might have worked, but the ergonomics are all wrong. The lever that controls the clamp is short and very high. One reviewer wrote that it must just be her, but she has to hold the curling iron high on the handle which caused her to accidentally change the heat setting. One has to hold the iron up at the top of the handle in order to reach the lever - if one can even reach it then. It took TWO hands for me to hold the curling iron and operate the lever because it's just too big of a stretch and the angle seems to be wrong on it. I do play the piano and can manage octaves on a keyboard, but I do not have "large" hands by any means. Perhaps with larger hands it would work for me - but I have this one in my closet ready to donate. Meanwhile, I purchased a 3/4 inch Remington at Walgreens which did not heat up enough to curl my short hair (!) but it did have a brush that could be slipped on and off - a feature I really liked. Next I ordered a 3/4 inch Conair

I can't even find the manual of this item. I search the website, no video instructions for this item. I don't know how to use it.

This curling iron has features I would have liked very much - the temperature control, a nice sized non-heated tip, the stand and auto-off feature. However mine didn't work out of the box. I would re-order, but don't want to have to deal with the return if the next doesn't work either. So, three stars because it didn't work. The product looked quite promising.

I read many reviews about this product and also heard good stuff about it. The main thing I didn't like about it that it grabbed onto my hair and wouldn't slide through. It felt like it was going to fry my hair that way. Also that piece of metal it rests on is a bit too out there; it interfered with the styling process.
