I was pleasantly surprised. Shaved/crushed ice as expected, however as the blade dulls it crushes more than it shaves. We have used it all summer quite a bit (I have 4 kids, plus neighbor kids love coming over to use it too), and it has held up really well. Quick tip: Make your own syrup so you don't have to constantly buy it.This is the recipe we use:1 pkg Kool aide2 Cups White Sugar1-1 3/4 Cups Water (more water = thinner syrup & more)If you want a "sour" flavor add 1/2 Tablespoon of Citric Acid (Sour Cherry = Cherry Koolaide & Citric Acid)I grabbed some picnic ketchup and mustard bottles from the dollar store to keep the syrup in-- ready to use for the kids. I would buy this item again.

I bought this because it looked like it would last more than one summer. I am diabetic and need sugar free snow cones which limits my choices. So I make my own syrup and have a snow cone whenever I feel like a snack that I can enjoy and not raise my blood sugar. With the price of snow cones the machine pays for itself in one summer. My husband is even eating snow cones now. Ice stays frozen to the last bite. Would recommend.

Ever since I bought it, the machine has just been in motion everyday. It runs very well, plus the blade don't ware out on you. I get around 30 to 40 lbs of ice done in 20mins with two people. One crushing one loading. Also easy to do alone.

We have had it for a few months and have used it many, many times. It is super simple and fast to have healthy snow cones. We make homemade simple fruit syrups or even just shave the ice and squeeze a quarter of a lemon or lime on it for a quick treat!

Granddaughter uses this on our food trailer when she can help and it's a perfect size for now. Will need to upgrade later. Yes, it's a little noisy as the other reviews state, but it's shaving ice. We place a towel underneath to catch the water. It's been a huge success.

My wife loves it. Shaved ice is one of her pregnancy cravings and she has been using it a lot. A bit messy ice doesn't all go directly into the bowl but works great.

Purchased another ice crusher prior to seeing this one. That was a mistake on my part. Can’t say enough good things about this product. Crushes ice very fast. Commercial grade.

Everything was perfect. The ice literally crushes into a snow consistency. It doesn't take much pressure to get it to crush with the handle either. Great buy !!!

We love this product! Family eats a lot of halo-halo a filipino desert and this product makes it easy for shaving ice.Wish that they should made the blade adjustable and automatic shut-off when opened.
