Difficult to handle

The first one I bought was great if not fantastic. I wanted another but for some reason couldn’t find it in my previous orders from about a year before. Same company and I thought same umbrella but I am very frustrated with the handling of this one. It is hard to balance and to open.. Doesn’t swivel so can’t really move easily with the sun and I find it difficult to position at all. I didn’t open it until summer feeling last winter that this was such a great umbrella I needed another for my summer home. Got here and very dissatisfied - hopefully I can return but what a bother. Buy the more expensive one if they have it.

Do Not Buy.. It’s Not Worth It

When shopping for a product like this, I was shocked that Home Depot was selling them for so much ($599+)! So the price initially was what got me to buy this product. Once it was delivered, it was really easy to assemble, maybe 10 minutes to have it up. We live in Northern AZ and we don’t normally get a lot of wind here. We did buy a base and filled with 120lbs of sand and bolted to our concrete slab to make sure the umbrella was stable enough to withhold any breezy day we might have. This year we have been having some gusts of wind that resembles being at the coast on a nice day. The wind and umbrella weren’t a good combo at all. For one, the umbrella isn’t able to lock into place. So it’s like a free floating umbrella that moves with even the smallest breeze. We later find out that it’s a string holding the umbrella together, literally. Not even a month of having the umbrella, the plastic lever broke that holds the umbrella up. We fixed that with a dark brown color piece of duct tape which worked great! Then the swaying umbrella itself, the string in the tube of the metal poles, completely busted. Unable to fix it. Not a happy camper. Please buy a better umbrella.. I know the price is nice but not for under a months use of shade..

Not sturdy enough even in light wind

I wanted to love this umbrella, it’s very beautiful, the LED lights are really pretty and it looked wonderful after we set it up in our backyard. Unfortunately, the first mildly windy day (15mph winds), the umbrella bent at the base and it collapsed onto our patio table. I contacted the seller who immediately sent out a replacement (hence the 2 star review and not a 1 star review), however after assembling the new umbrella and fitting it with 4 16”x16”, 30 lb. slate tiles and a 90 lb. sandbag (210 lbs. total weight), it collapsed again, bending at the base in the same spot in less than 10mph winds. In addition, the replacement umbrella would not stay open, it continually closed under its own weight. I have contacted the seller and am requesting a full refund, it seems their product is not ready for prime time. I will invest in an umbrella at a higher price point, unfortunately sometimes you do get what you paid for.

Only 5 days

Was so excited a great value umbrella was headed our way. Easy assembly got it up and ready for use...Nope only got to enjoy it 5 times...5! Then as I sat outside with my coffee one morning it snapped shut while I was sitting under it and that was it. There was no breeze, but if there had been I would’ve had to close it bc it would have swung like a wild pendulum. Not sturdy not reliable and since we recycle no damn box to return it in...guess they get to get the box of their competitors. So sad it was pretty and had lights would have added to the yard perfectly he it not completely sucked!

You get what you pay for: a cheap umbrella.

I guess I shouldn’t have expected much at this price-point. Yes, it tilts, but it’s kind of all or nothing. It won’t hold in the middle anywhere because the components are cheap plastic. Be sure to note that unlike more expensive cantilever umbrellas, this one does not swivel at all. If you want to swing it around as the sun moves, you’re out of luck! Also, the slightest little breeze will have this thing swinging like a piñata at a birthday party! And if you’re taller than 5’10”, don’t expect to stand up under it. I bought it to shade my outdoor grill. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money. I’d send it back, but it’s not worth the effort. I put 4” of patio bricks under it so it would be a little taller, and when it dies I will toss it. I’m serious about that wind part. This th8ng will swing around and smack you in the face if you’re not very careful.

Not a solid product.

It arrived ok but I found an extra metal threaded pin in the box. It doesn’t have base plates (which are shown in directions), so it’s unstable and the umbrella hangs by a thread (literally).

Broke within a day

I thought this was a great deal until our umbrella broke within a day. There are no replacement parts and the only option customer service gave us was to ship it back smh the plastic piece that holds the umbrella open is made of cheap plastic

Pole does not lock in place.

The locking lever does not stop the pole from turning, causing it to run into the house, window, people, whatever is in its path. The lights are hit and miss if they turn on and we have sun on it 90% of the time the sun is out.

Be careful what you buy.

We haven't even had this for 3 months ths yet and it's already broken. We loved it but now have to take it apart and see if we can replace the string that broke.
