Broke after two months of purchase and less than one month of use

Update: I have increased to three stars, after reaching back out to the company with pictures they have graciously sent a replacement. Will Provide another update after using the replacement for a bit. At first I thought this was a great umbrella, however after using the umbrella for less than a month the string that raises it has broken and since I was two days out side of their 60 day warranty they will not do anything about it! Save your money and purchase from a better company. An umbrella that is rated to last for years shouldn’t break and be completely unusable after two months of purchase and less than a month of use

I usually buy one every year

Because that’s as long as they last. This one broke in two spots the very first time I opened it. JB weld, duct tape and steel pipe clasps fixed it. When they were $59 it was worth the hassle. Will I buy another one? Maybe. I can fix them cheaper than buying expensive ones. Have had 4. They don’t last long but just like liberals are idiots, what are ya gonna do?

There is a flaw in the design!

The umbrella is easy to assemble; I am 4’11” and put the thing up by myself. It provides shade and is pretty but it does have a flaw…it doesn’t have air vents and becomes a huge sail on breezy or windy days. The sun still shines on windy days but the umbrella becomes quite unstable even with the weighted anchors. I would not skip buying the weighted anchors BTW! My umbrella would be somewhere out over the Atlantic by now if I didn’t purchase the four piece weighted anchors!!!!

You get what you pay!

This is a good product but lot of things can be improved to make it reliable. Pros: 1. Size - 10ft is huge 2. LED lights with switch in right place 3. Ease to set up Cons: 1. Lock does not stay in place 2. No stability 3. Filmsy plastic lock 4. Rotates in wind For the price point it's a good product but it can be a great product with little bit of improvements in the parts provided.

Nice looking umbrella but wish it was sturdier.

The size is great and it’s good looking. Unfortunately the ring that tightens the umbrella when you initially open it— is poorly made and cracked by the third time we used it. My husband found a way around that, thankfully. Also, we’ve never been able to figure out how to secure the umbrella to keep it from swinging in the very slightest wind. Priced a bit high for the quality you get. It’s likely we’ll have to replace it soon and we haven’t had it very long.

Arrived with a crucial broken piece that appeared it would break easily in the future too

A major piece of the umbrella was broken when I got it which would not allow me to hold the umbrella up. Other than that, the umbrella seemed pretty easy to put together and appears to be great quality other than the broken piece. I also noticed afterwards that the hanging part of the umbrella would move easily in the wind. Living in SE Florida where there is always a breeze, this would not work for me to order a replacement. I decided to spend the extra money and get the "Best Choice Products 10ft Solar LED 360 Degree Aluminum Polyester Cantilever Offset Market Patio Umbrella Shade w/Easy Tilt and Smooth Gliding Handle" which is AMAZING!

Mediocre but love the solar lights

So long as there’s no breeze this umbrella is ok. Have had it about a month and already the plastic component that slides up and down the shaft to extend it feels like it’s starting to warp and it’s getting harder to operate it. The plastic sleeve that “locks” the umbrella in place is really poor quality and won’t last long. It’s really nice when fully opened in the regular position, but if any breeze blows it blows the whole umbrella too around making me feel uncomfortable sitting under it. The one thing I like most is the solar lights mechanism. Just wish the umbrella as a whole was more sturdy : / not to mention you have to get expensive bases separately so for the cost it’s really a let down.

Love the look, but disappointed in the color

I’m so disappointed. I purposely bought 2 umbrellas of the SAME color, tan, from the SAME manufacturer and they are FAR from the same color. The cantilever to go over our outdoor sectional and the other a regular one for our outdoor table. We wanted the solar lights in both, but this color difference is not going to work. We have chairs from the same manufacturer and they match the regular umbrella. The box came and says “light tan” but that’s not even an option when we ordered. We ordered tan. The tan is almost white. It’s going back…we ordered the Sunnyglade brand, not exact, and no lights, but the tan is SO MUCH CLOSER to the tan color of the Best Choice one!!!! This picture is the tan cantilever vs the tan regular Best Choice umbrella.

Works beautifully with a little diy additions

Same feedback as everyone else. I bought 2 of these. They are beautiful and add so much to the backyard, however one of them the plastic holder broke when I was putting it together, and I thought it was a fluke. Originally I was going to replace it with the seller, but then the second one broke, and we realized this is just a flaw in the design. We bought hose clamps at homedepot and fixed it, and now they work fine. You need sandbags for the base or they will just keep falling over. The seller is very accommodating and helpful.

Risk #2

Bought a similar umbrella last year from the same manufacturer and the gear that opens the umbrella broke pretty fast. The return process was impossible and required me to track down a box that fit it which I didn't have the time or resources to do resulting in keeping the original, broken umbrella. Not sure why but figured I’d give the company another shot. Just set this one up and so far it’s flimsy in comparison to the original. Definitely not one I’d leave open without being outside out of concern it would break in the slightest of winds. We’ll see how it goes but I’d recommend searching a little further before pulling the trigger.
