First Razer mouse in eons.. incredible

INSANELY light. About 40% lighter than my G305 (with battery). This is the most impressive aspect for me. Fantastic shape for small hands. Good for palm, claw, fingertip grips, whatever. The hump does not impede my grip, even with small hands. Clicks are not mushy and are also pretty low-volume; it's easy to spam-click unlike my last Zowie. Side button clicks are tactile as well - no mushiness. No software required. Plug & play and use DPI button to change DPI. Note: logo LED cycles through color spectrum by default. - Downside: made by Razer so I don't expect it to last for more than two weeks, based on my n=1 experience. - Of my closet-full of gaming mice, I see this being my favorite, if it lasts. - Update: after two days, the right-click has developed a 'bump' when being pressed lightly. Not a deal breaker but unfortunate.

Lightweight comfortable, smooth, right out the box

The media could not be loaded. This mouse impressed me as soon as I plugged it in. My Windows 10 PC detected it immediately and shortly after that the software was waiting to be installed without me having to search for it. Even before I plugged it in I noticed just how LIGHT it felt especially when compared to my EVGA Torq x10. I have small hands (with a fingertip grip) and this fits my hand very well and it just glides across my mouse pad. I haven't had any intense gaming sessions yet but I can already tell I will enjoy this mouse a lot. The buttons feel great in my hand. Even with my small hands I have easy access to M4 and M5 which was not possible on my previous mouse. SO happy about this. Going back to the software, it is very easy to use. I immediately customized the RGB lighting and DPI settings with just a few simple clicks and it has many other features included like button remapping, calibration and more. So far, and at this price, the initial impressions are leading me to recommend this mouse to anyone with smaller hands and what's great is that if you have bigger hands Razer has other models for you.

Razer viper mini. Best And cheapest ultra light gaming mouse

I have purchased like 5 mice in less than 2 months including the glorious model o- but that mouse felt kind of fragile and cheap. I decided to go for this viper mini mouse and lord, this mouse is so light and comfortable that it will be impossible to find another one as this. Light, cheap, and top of the line quality. Not 1 day with it and I already love it. I have the basilisk v2 as well and will be using it too later on because I love all the buttons it has while this viper mini game not has 2 side buttons which is not enough for me but, I might have to accustom to 2 side buttons only. I don't feel any problem with lift off distance. sometimes people are dumb because when you lift off your mouse you are not aiming so I don't see any issue with that. Update: After a couple if months of use me of the side button broke, not completely but pretty loose and not good to play. It still is a good mouse it might be that I tend to press button really hard.

Very responsive and fast clicking mouse

I really like this mouse and give it 5 stars because of it's high precision and responsiveness. I am attributing that to it's higher 8500 DPI optical sensor. This mouse has a smaller form factor compared to the others but is no small in terms of performance. Below are some of the key highlights: This is an RGB Mouse and is plug-n-play; uses the standard windows drivers without having to download any extra drivers unless you need extra functions listed below. All buttons are programmable by using the Razer software which you need to download. Using this software you are also able to customize the button functions and the RGB colors to any desired pattern; apparently there are 16.8 million color combinations. This is a wired mouse with a braided cable which is tangle free and pretty long. The button right below the wheel allows one to switch between different DPI options. There are several options to choose from depending on your needs; there is one which is super fast for ultra-fast point & shoot gaming and one which is in the middle that I like most. Once you get used to this mouse it is very hard to use any other mouse as it spoils you real bad!!!! Love it!!!

Solid small mouse at a great value.

I have 18x10CM hands and use claw. The first thing I noticed when I picked this mouse up was the coating. The surface texture of the Razer Viper Mini feels like PBT, grippy and never felt like my hands were slipping during heavy use. The scroll wheel feels nice and easy to use. The RGB is crisp per usual with Razer's aesthetic. The lightweight, use of pure virgin PTFE mouse feet and para cord like cable makes this a great alternative to the Finalmouse Ultralight 2. The implementation of the optical switch and mouse click feels good. The side buttons sits flush outside unlike it's bigger Viper/Ultimate counterpart, are tactile. I never had a problem with actuating the DPI button on top and rarely ever used it besides for memeing. Now the only downsides for this mouse, is the sensor. I had no problems tracking or flick shotting in game but personally, I don't have a problem with a little higher lift off distance but it is something to point out as many other people are not a fan of this. Razer Synapse is still a bloating software and should be avoided if possible. Thankfully, Synapse is not needed, the Razer Viper Mini supports on board memory. So, you're DPI and lighting settings are saved. The Razer Viper Mini is a solid mouse in every checkbox but the only thing holding it back, is the sensor. Now if only Razer released a Razer Viper Mini Ultimate..........

My favorite mouse

Amazing mouse. I only arrived at the decision for this guy after lots of research and help from Rocket Jump Ninja's website and mouse reviews. I settled on this because it was one of the highest rated lightweight mice that (most importantly) fit my hand size. First impressions, however, were horrible. The mouse was awkward to grip and didn't seem to fit my hand properly. Slight aim adjustments were harder to perform as I was going from a heavy mouse to a lightweight one. My fingers would regularly misclick the buttons from just resting on the mouse. After a few days of play, I was developing pains in my hand. My mouse before this was a Logitech G502 held in a palm grip. I realized the main issue was the G502 had a huge hump that my palm could easily cradle while the Viper has a lower profile, so I had to switch to more of a fingertip grip. The transition was difficult but after a few weeks I had adjusted and now I can never go back. I loved that G502, but I did not know what I was missing out on with how lightweight and easy to maneuver this Razer is. I think the G502 would win in terms of comfort, but for enjoyable fast-paced games, this is much better. Clicks are satisfying on all the buttons and the scroll wheel has a nice resistance to it unlike the muddy feel of my G502. The only things I think that could make this mouse better is if there was an infinite scroll wheel and the ability to map the side buttons separately from the opposite side.

Incredible light weight mouse.

Razer knocked it out of the park with the Viper mini. I had been using a Logitech G502 for quite some time and really did not have any issues with it. When I saw the information on the Viper mini and noticed the weight, it was like half the weight of the mouse I was using so I decided to give it a try. I'm really glad I did because even the shape of the mouse fits so much nicer than what I was using. It tracks so well, and glides really nice on the pad. For anyone that may be iffy since the sensor isn't the same as the ultimate, I will just say this. Sensors now a days are so much better then they were previously, and in real world usage in games, you're not going to notice the difference between the two. I am glad I got the mini, it's a perfect fit for my hand, and the low weight really does make a different in aiming.

Solid mouse, but battery life can struggle

Upfront, I would just like to say I'm not being compensated in any way for this review, I'm just bored. If you shop as I do, you'll understand why I put that... The mouse is SUPER light - almost feels cheaply made because of it. Despite that, as far as I can tell it's rock solid. I'm a claw grip coming from a Logitech G502 and the weight difference is astounding. I find I'm more accurate because of it, however, I do sometimes miss throwing the weight around on top-down strategy games. Two negatives I have are the lack of an easily accessible DPI switch and the battery life. A couple of notes: - I use this as my primary mouse for this machine but use an MX Master as my daily. - When I game I play a bit of everything but primarily FPS, strategy, and RPG. -This mouse is used roughly 5-10 hours a week depending on my schedule. I am good about turning it on/off prior to use out of habit. Since I switch between FPS, strategy, and RPG rather regularly the lack of an easily accessible DPI switch can be annoying. While it's possible to set custom DPI settings on via Razer Synapse and toggle between them on the mouse itself, the switch to do so is on the underside. Nice from an aesthetic point of view, but I wish it was more easily accessible and located on the top of the mouse, as most are. As for the batter life, let's just say I leave the micro USB on stand-by. It's quite possible I received a lemon, or that I'm spoiled by the fact that I charge my MX Master (that I use ~60 hours a week) 1-2 times a quarter. To be fair, that mouse is *significantly* heavier for it, but I feel like this thing is constantly flashing red at me. Even still, this mouse is solid and I don't regret the purchase, whatsoever. Scooped it up during a sale for ~$80 and, I feel like I've gotten every penny back. A quick tidbit on Razer Synapse: the interface and application as a whole are great. I've previously used Logitech's, Corsair's, and HyperX's counterparts and it is by far the most user-friendly. The RBG on the mouse is also decently subtle and can be customized to fit almost anyone's preference, even if you're

Works greay with Razr laptop

Got this for my gamer son to coordinate with his Razr laptop. Love how the rgb lights sync up with the keyboard. It's easy for him to use, I stalled on seconds, and seems like it will last a while. If it does I'll be sure to update my review.

Good mouse

I bought this as a replacement for an about 10 year old razer Taipan that was starting to have some issues with mis-clicking. I really liked the Taipan and so far this is a good replacement. Anytime you get new equipment there's a bit of a period of adaptation. Minor gripes so far include: it's slightly more difficult to raise and lower daily than it was with the taipan; there could be more rgb lights than there are; its a little on the light side for my taste. And just to elaborate on the first gripe, you can change the mouses dpi through the razer app at any time and you can have preset dpi settings programmed which you can change by pressing a button on the bottom of the mouse. The settings are color codex so you can know which is which at a glance if you have that info memorized. The taipan had buttons on top for the dpi and were easier to use to adjust on the fly. It's hardly ever a problem, but it was noticeable to me. The usage time is close to 2 days if you forget to throw it on the charger when your done it'll probably be fine.
