THE Budget Gaming Mouse for Shooters.

1.) Very light, and made with what feels like good plastic materials. The sides are quite grippy. Along the topic of materials, the feet are unbelievably smooth, even more so that any other mouse I have used. I find this to be the biggest game changer in terms of mouse feel when making longer flicks or drags, and when trying to hit very accurate shots at a long distance in shooters. 2.) Gorgeous RGB lighting, however, not visible while holding the mouse, as your hand covers it (not really a minus in my book) 3.) Practically unnoticeable ultralight cable that feels pretty much like using a wireless mouse (I daily drive a Logitech G703, so I feel that I for one can make this claim) Cons: 1.) The side buttons are a little bit small. However, it is very easy to notice when you have actuated them because of how tactile they are I will say, I do like the switches more in the Logitech mice, but this mouse overall feels amazing. The super light weight design makes it perfect for shooters. (I actually noticed after a day's use that my K/D ratio in COD went up!) I picked this one up on a deal for $19.99, and I think that I will probably switch to this from my g703 for shooters, but keep the g703 for more casual stuff like browsing the web and lazing around on the couch. Overall, a great product. Thanks Razer!

The best in the game

Some people may not like the look and feel (aka the shape) but between Logitech and Razer pouring millions of dollars into their product R&D, this is the end result. I truly can't tell the difference between most modern wireless and wired mice these days. There's just no noticeable latency, tracking issues, or disconnects. I am getting older so maybe younger competitive gamers can tell but I'd be surprised if you're average consumer would complain. I've also looked at other notorious tech reviewers and they all say this is up there with the best mice on the market. I will give a warning though, Razer Synapse software (the software for this mouse) is flaming, hot garbage. You can use this mouse without the software but if you want to use macros, remap mouse buttons, or custom RGB profiles, you may have to have Razer Synapse running in the background every time you use this. I only use Razer Synapse for RGB profiles (which I can live without) and to check the current battery life of the mouse. I'm trying to use this alongside the Razer Basilisk Ultimate so I can utilize the charger for both mice and Razer Synapse is very clearly causing some kind of wireless interference for each mouse. Neither mouse would work properly with both receivers plugged into my computer (Razer has unifying receiver software but not for these mice) but when I turned off Razer Synapse, it fixed the problem - I'm not surprised.

(Viper Mini) Not just best budget mouse. Best mouse depending on the aimer.

This is my second Viper Mini because I missed the one I gave away. I'm a Skypad XL user. (glass mousepad) I prefer the Viper Mini over my Ultralight 2. I use an aggressive fingertip grip when aiming. I aim similarly to a claw gripper because I curl my fingers when aiming but I don't touch my palm on the rear. Look here these are the mice I own. Zy Rail, G305, FKMINI3, Model O-, MM710, MM720. This mouse and the G303 are the mice I aim best with as of now based on hours of trying mice. The G303 allows me to have more control over lateral movement in fingertip grip.. I know it's strange that I fingertip grip claw grip style mice but that's just what I do. Till Endgame Gear releases a XM1-S (small) or XM1-M (mini) this is going to be one of the mice I pick up the most. The shape is near perfect, the plastic structure is solid and can't be flexed, click latency is the lowest I've ever gotten on any mouse, the sensor isn't perfect but def close enough. If you put tape over the sensor but leave a gap toward the front where the sensor tracks then it will decrease the lift-off distance. Similar to starlight 12 lift-off distance or other top performing mice with 3360 and above. Really this is the only flaw I can feel on the 3359 sensor. Seriously Razer has the lowest latency switches in the game I think.. These optical switches are basically instant.. my lowest click latency time was 20ms which is crazy fast considering I couldn't get lower on any of my other mice... they all averaged around 30-40ms at best or worse around 50ms on average. But for some reason with the Viper Mini I get those 20ms #s which is freaking amazing. So I'm a stickler for good mouse cables.. Kind of spoiled myself using mainly paracords so I will be paracording my Viper Mini as I did with my last one. But I will say this is one of the best cables because it's light but not floppy unlike Zy Rail and cooler master ultralight paracorded mice. Now the PTFE skates are just perfect IMO... They glide wonderfully on my skypad (I will not be replacing till I'm ready) When I do replace them though it will probably be with Tiger Arc V2 skates from lethalgaminggear. Oh, and the scroll wheel is fine. I prefer heavier smooth stepped scroll wheels but I never use them for competitive gaming so it doesn't bother me. Scroll wheels like the Intellimouse Pro, G303, Endgame gear, and Roccat Titan wheel for example. Hope you enjoyed reading. This mouse is a banger! Must buy for enthusiasts and novice shooter players.

Very Good Mouse, But Chose Razer Abyssus Essential Over This

The Razer Viper Mini is an awesome mouse, with nice material that isn't too slippery or rough, clean clicks that are only slightly too easy to press in my opinion, solid side buttons for assigning macros to, and a form that is perfect for a claw grip (where your palm but not your whole hand wrests on the back of the mouse). Unfortunately, I have a fingertip grip, where I like none of my palm to touch the mouse, mostly developed from playing RTS's and FPS's. I found a better mouse in the Razer Abyssus Essential, which has a more uniform smooth side form factor, and more flat top of the mouse, perfect for fingertip grips. On the Viper Mini, my thumb and pinky rest right on the bumps where the mouse starts bulging out on the sides, which again would be perfect for a claw grip as your fingers sit a little farther up on the mouse than fingertip grip. So I highly recommend this mouse for someone with a claw grip! I would say I also tried the Cooler Master MM710 in my search for my next mouse, and I liked the Razer Viper Mini a little more than the MM710. I felt I get a better grip and liked the material just a little more on the Viper Mini. Both mice however have fairly easy-to-click left & right mouse buttons, which to me were too easy to press. The Abyssus Essential requires maybe double the force to press its buttons, which I love personally.

first razer product, and it's an absolute winner

For transparency this is my first razer mouse, and only my 3rd mouse. fist was a cheap havit mouse that came with a bundle. second was a steelseries 600. Honestly I assumed I'd get this mouse and be underwhelmed. so far, it's been about 2 weeks. this mouse is ultra light to me coming from a steelseries rival 600. the steelseries was slightly over 100 grams so it's almost 30 gram difference. this weighing in at 74. I didn't really expect it to affect my or even be noticeable. boy was I wrong. instantly lighter and the feet on this mouse glide so smoothly. very responsive and quick. thought I may have to turn down my dpi or sens due to how much lighter and smoother the razer is. However, from that heavier steelseries with weaker glide, to this much lighter exponentially better gliding 8k, it was seamless. adjusted extremely quickly. The shape is great feels great in my hand. did take me a minute to get used to as far as that goes simply because my last mouse was bulky and an unorthodox shape compared to most gaming mice. Now due to that there was some weird stress, and fatigue that presented in my forearm. again it adjusted quickly. after, at max, a couple 3-4 hour sessions it was gone. There are 4 total side buttons, but theres a caveat there I'll touch on later. the wire on this is absolutely perfect. 0 drag, dont even notice it's there until I look down. dont have to use my cord bungee either. I almost got the viper ult but knowing how this mouse feels, it would've been a waste of money to me. As great as this mouse is there are a couple trade offs and things I didnt know. these are not in number of importance. 1) since this is ambidextrous, theres 4 total side buttons, one set on each side. Coming from a mouse with 3 side buttons and the way I had things mapped, I assumed I would be able to map all 4 buttons. wrong. the buttons are M4/M5 on each side. you have to choose if you are right or left handed in the app and that sets which side is being used and how they're numbered. kind of a bummer here but this is a personal issue not necessarily reflective of razer. coming from more to less is situational. I would just like that extra personalization. 2) The 8k polling rate. this provides an extremely smooth mouse movement. this may be different from person to person. maybe mouse pads make a huge difference I have a relatively cheap one atm. One issue I've run into is Apex legends WILL NOT run a polling rate over 2000 on a 144 hz monitor. or at least not on mine. rainbow six siege I can crank to 8k and no issues. so maybe its game/display/system dependent I dont have a way to test it. 3) I'm a person who enjoys rgb and wish there was more. this is a non issue for most I'm sure, but this is about the only thing the steelseries had over this mouse was the customization options for rgb. 4) the liftoff distance. this is the number one win for steelseries. they had a liftoff distance as low as .5 mm lift off distance which I absolutely loved. the lowest for this mouse is 2 mm. so lifting and lowering there is mouse jottering I'm not a fan of but overall not a big issue. big win for steelseries here. Barring any huge issues this is a mouse I would 100 percent recommend at time of this review. buy it, check it out. I doubt you'll be disappointed!

Good mouse!

This mouse is light and on the smaller side, I was initially worried about my hands possibly being too big. (I can palm a mens full size basketball, for some reference.) But the mouse feels just right, maybe it's the way I grip it. There's a really light grippy texture on mouse 1 and 2 and the scroll wheel is great, the sensor feels a lot more accurate/better than some of the generic "gaming" mice that i bought recently. As soon as you plug this mouse in you get prompted to download it's software, it's my first experience with that and it went smooth, I put this mouse to the test and won my first and second game of the day in Apex legends aiming efficiently, the mouse feels nice.

8khz is not for everything!

FYI. If you encounter issues with games where you move the mouse and it seems like it takes a while for the game to catch up and then it does all your moves very fast try changing your polling rate down on the razer software. Not all games are compatible with how fast this communicates. Other than that its a great mouse! Daily driver for a gamer and programmer.

Great Wireless Gaming mouse

I really prefer wireless mice. I have been holding off on my older wireless Logitech mouse, but the left button was dying. I had already checked out the Razer Viper Ultimate and then the Cyber Monday deals came out and it was time to buy. I have been very happy with it. It is super light weight for a chargeable wireless mouse. It feels great in the hand and glides very smoothly. I have big hands use a hybrid palm\claw style grip and the mouse fits great without having to readjust my hand. My only complaint is the battery longevity, but really it is not bad. I have it set to sleep after a minute of non activity and LED is set to a static color. I could turn off LED and get more, but what is the point of having LED then? I work from home and use this mouse all day and I get about 10 days of battery. The charging cable is very nice and if my battery is low I can plug it in and keep using it and in about 2 hours it completely charged. I would buy it again, not disappointed in it at all.

Great Size and Great Quality

This is the perfect mouse for someone who doesn’t have extra large hands. I used to use a razer deathadder essential mouse but realized that I couldn’t click the thumb button as fast enough due to the size of the mouse. This razer viper mini is just what I was looking for! It has a great dpi, is very ergonomic, and the buttons are the perfect distance from the mouse and sides for using your thumb in quick maneuvers. Would definitely recommend!

Great mouse for a great price.

Got the wireless version with no dock. Did not think I'd really need the dock as I would like to be wired sometimes anyways. Clicks work way better than Logitech mice that have the double clicking issues. Accuracy is better imo for FPS as well. Great speeds with good control on the DPI. DPI stepping can be set and Razer Synapse deleted in a way so that works. Overall, its the best Razer mouse that has come out in years other than the Deathadder. And way less issues than the Logitech mice I've owned. Would buy again, and recommend to others!
