Purchased large pack of these and also AA newest Duracell Optimum cells. Neither package have a date code OR SHELF LIFE. Copper tops have production date and "GOOD FOR" fill in the blank, usually 10 Years. Not these! Spoke to Duracell, who told me that they do not "HAVE ENOUGH DATA TO KNOW SHELF LIFE". I was surprised they told me that. They look fancy, however, if planning to use a few every month or so, or store for an emergency, you are out of luck! I will be sticking with the tried and true Copper Tops with the proper 1.5volts and dates.
