This is a popular design of vegetable chopper. It's versatile with the possibility to use slicing blades on top, or insert the plastic prongs over that opening and put a chopping frame under the prongs and you can dice your onions two ways at once. Be sure to pre-chop the onions so they don't extend past the edge of the plastic frame, or they'll bind there. The mechanical design of these square frames is very solid so the metal won't bend. And the blades are sharp. They may not last forever, as they cannot be sharpened if they dull.It comes with an egg separator and a good beefy hand protector, to use for the slicing function. A little cleaning brush is included but a toothbrush would work as well.It's not built like a tank, but it's not flimsy. The colors are pleasant. The box says to wash in water under 60C = 140F and not to use a dishwashing machine. But some people report that it survived their dishwasher in good shape.

I love this thing. It makes everything the same size and shape so it cooks evenly. The only issue I have is that some things are a little hard to push through. That and a lot of things you do have to cut down before you cut them in the chopper. Which is a little inconvenient. But having everything the same size and shape makes it worth it.

I was really excited to try the waffle cut on a potato, however it didn't quite turn out how I expected. The slices are much more thin than I feel like it should be on the waffle. Maybe there's a way to adjust it that I'm not seeing just yet.It works great on onions and apples, there is one piece that looks like it would make shoestring fries which will be my next try.Be very careful washing.

As a dedicated Japanese mandolin user, I was skeptical at first, but it won me over with it's ability to cut perfect matchstick carrots. The box with a drain basket attached are also super awesome. I can cut,salt and drain without getting anything more dirty. The plastic is kind of flimsy but that's to be expected at this price point, it held up on the top rack of the dishwasher. I appreciate that the swing arm easily comes for washing.

This chopper makes my life so much easier! I struggle with the smaller grater attachments though so not a fan of those but for the slap chopper part it’s a life saver! Especially for onions!

I like the idea of chopping everything in less time.. but in order to do it I have to punch it soo hard that makes so much noise... it does the job but is kind of hard... also its dificult to clean because of the little bladez Im affraid of cutting my fingers while cleaning it.
