I put these up over my couch by themselves, rather than at a window with a sheer curtain, so perhaps all the positive reviews are because the sheer curtain/window scenario is just the best use case for these. As fairy lights alone, I found them unaesthetic - the plastic is much clunkier than other styles like copper fairy lights, and I found the lights surprisingly dim/too warm toned, with more of a yellow-greenish tint compared to my other (also warm) lamps, which veer toward between yellowish and white light. Usually fairy lights I buy are enough to provide some ambient light to a room, but I found that these really didn't brighten up the room, and I always have to turn on a column lamp to provide more ambient light - so I suppose either these are more just to look at or my particular set is a bit dim. I'm going to switch out the lights with some remote control copper string fairy lights instead, but probably save these just in case I end up in a scenario where I'll have a window and a sheer curtain.

For real? I opened the box and was so overwhelmed by the bundled conglomerate of "Christmas tree" lights that I went EEK and put it back in the box. Until I thought, well that's just ridiculous! Then I opened it again and untied the bundle to which a spider web looking mess of light spilled down and my head felt like it would explode at the mere idea of trying to untangle and figure it out that I just put it back in the box again and realized this sort of thing is for people who love tedious challenges and that if I truly want that twinkle light effect? Imma have to just get traditional xmas lights

These are beautiful for the time they last which unfortunately is not very long. We set them up as a permanent display over a brick wall behind our gas fireplace and had them on a timer to come on for a few hours every evening on the solid setting. So in fairness they did get heavy use but nothing I thought would be too demanding. After three months of this lights are now very dim to the point they look off and flicker erratically. My hunch is the little control box is burning out as I can't see how the wiring would fail. However, I reached out to the seller and they were prompt in replying, very polite, and offered me a full refund which I accepted. 2 stars for the product but an additional star for the customer service.

I purchased these lights almost exactly 1 year ago. I’ve only used them indoors, as ambient lighting for my bedroom on occasion. I don’t use the flashing or blinking features either, just the solid light setting. About a week ago the lights started to short out and will only do really crazy seizure-inducing flashing patterns, so they sadly need to go in my garbage. I am pretty bummed that these weren’t more reliable, given how minimally unused them. If they didn’t hold up in my bedroom, I’d worry about their reliability outdoors.

Work fabulously! The two packs I got connected seemlessly and work very well. Super impressed with the quality. I want to love them.... BUT... my two packs are different colors. They’re both “warm white”, but one pack is way more yellow than the other. It’s hard to tell in my pic. The strand on the left is more white than the one on the right, which is more yellow. Harder to tell on camera. To the naked eye, however, it’s super obvious. It’s driving me crazy!! Heed my warning if you’re getting more than one pack and are worried the tones will be different! I don’t even know which pack to exchange because I don’t know which is the standard and which one is the off-colored one. I don’t want to have to pay shipping to exchange both because what if I get two different ones again?? I’m stuck and it’s driving me nuts 😂

These lights are such attention grabbers! I’ve got one behind a sheer curtain over a big window and another just hanging against a white wall— and they are gorgeous under both scenes. However, I can’t overlook the issues I had with some of the hanging strands. I ordered 4 of these babies, and 3 out of the 4 had a strand or two that needed tweaking to light up:( I actually had to use electrical tape on one of them for it to stay lit! And this was straight out of the box— brand spankin’ new! Like most cheaper string lights, once a bulb or wire is messed up, every light that follows will no longer work. So, if you purchase this product— beautiful as it is, be prepared to put in a little work to get it going.

these were absolutely perfect for my dorm room and later my bedroom! the warm light actually brightens up the room and I loved the fact that you could just plug it into an outlet rather than using batteries! I was in love with it until it randomly stopped working after around 9 months (worked perfectly before then!). I checked everything -- I tried unplugging and replugging it, I tried pressing the button down in an attempt to reset it, I took them down and tried it again thinking maybe the way I hung it was the problem, I checked the wires to see if it had frayed anywhere -- to no avail. love the product, perhaps just not the quality. $18 is a decent amount for fairy lights and so I think I'll be looking elsewhere for another set :(

The slack for the power adapter to the string of lights is almost nonexistent. How is one supposed to plug this up and also hang it up? You'd have to have high outlets or use an unsightly extension cord. Still that doesn't help..the issue is with amouny of cord to the controller box. These are to hang, so this needs to have more slack.

Bought these about 1.5 years ago for a couple parties pre COVID, taking them up and down several times, which was a process but worked great. Ended up putting them in the bedroom and they gave off a great amount of light, enough to see but not too bright. A little over a year in and went to unplug them and the plug in part separated from the electrical cord. To be clear, I did not pull on the cord at any time, I pulled the base out of the wall outlet and it completely disconnected. Good overall, they were cheap enough that I feel like I got my money's worth just frustrating. Also, like I have seen people say on similar listings, PUT THEM UP BEFORE YOU UNFIRL THEM! Made that mistake the first time and they took like an hour to untangle. And there is no remote with it FYI.

These come in a tangled mess, I ordered 3 of them last Christmas and while untangling them from the box quite a few of the strings of lights didn't work. When it's Christmas time and you're doing everything else that needs to get done, the last thing you want to do is package something up and return it. The one and only box where it seemed to be packaged a little differently had all working lights and that was stunning when lit. They need to find a better way to package them.
