Have an echo and smart plugs in our primary resident and wanted to add a second echo dot and some smart plugs at our cottage 200 miles away. Could not make it work in just 1 location at a time. Called support and they could not offer me a solution. After a few frustrating days I was going to send the 2nd one back until I (not tech support) figured out a way to turn lights on and off at 1 location with turning them on/off at the other location at the same time. Directions must be made for users to be able to manage individual devices a separate locations with 1 app (account).

These little Echo Dots are nice but the sound is not super. My computer definitely has way better sound quality and range. But these do the job I got them for and I got them on sale so no complaints.

Works ok kinda trash when using Spotify. However I will say you have to get the Sam Jackson voice it’s amazing! That’s why it’s getting 4 stars. If Sam wasn’t a option (Paid) then it would be 3 stars.

We were a bit skeptical about these devices, but we switched home owners policies and the new company gave us this Echo Dot for switching. Have primarily used it for music and creating grocery list. Not sure what else we would use it for. It was free, so we will see.

It is great that you can ask Alexa about a lot of things from weather to sports scores even playing your favorite channel on SiriusXM. However, a lot of times it will not know answers to simple questions. I don't have any examples but believe me there have been times that it has not known the answer or had info on a topic. Overall, a good product but not great.

For 40$ its basically a regular speaker. The other functions are a little unnecessarily complex. There are certain comands that are a little glitchy. But over all it makes for a nice casual speaker. And if you have a small studio apartment its really good for that kind of space.

I like the convenience of having Alexa but I am still unsure of everything she can do. My home is not smart and I did not set out to purchase the echo dot. It was included with the purchase I made at Best Buy , smart TV. So if i want the full functionality of Alexa and the echo dot i will need to buy more smart devices. not sure i want to do that at this point in time.

I use mine as a personal listening device for music. I have paired it with a compact battery and now carry it anywhere. Even out to the patio. To me it is a fun toy. Just realize it is a toy, but very fun and the sound quality is amazing. I would recommend. Who knows where it will lead.

Love the echo dot, allows my husband to contact me from his office if I don’t hear the phone or text alert. Allows both of us to communicate hands free, between the house and the building out back. Music is good if your playing it on a lower volume. Does not say my name as I pronounce it, it gives a Spanish pronunciation. Like the shopping list feature.

Got this when there was a deal going on for 99 cents. I don't really use it honestly but I did when I first got it and it works pretty well. Does everything it's advertised to do. Would I buy this for the full price? Probably not. Does that make it a bad product? Not at all. Overall it's a great product, I love it, I just couldn't spend $50 on something like this. Some people may be different but that's just me. If you don't mind the price, I'd recommend it.
