Great safety feature

These suction handles are a great safety feature. I can’t have grab bars in my shower because it’s fiberglass. So I bought these to use to hold on to in my shower & one by the toilet to help pull me up & help with my balance. I highly recommend these to seniors who need a little extra help gif your safety!

IMPORTANT to check attachment every once in a while.

This grab bar certainly met my expectations. All I really needed was a handle to steady and guide me out of the tub so I would feel more secure. Consequently, I do not put a lot of my weight on it when I use it. Those who do, should certainly check to make sure it is in fact still secure every time before just routinely relying on it completely to hold you up. After about three weeks, one end released itself, although the grab bar didn't move and appeared to still be secure. Thankfully, an action I expected, so I didn't have any weight or reliance on it at the time. I simply reattached it and it was good again. My point is if someone relies on this by putting ALOT of their weight on it when entering or leaving the tub area, it would manifest a sense of false security. Now, I automatically check its security (suction) when I grab it every time, like you would check to see if a door is locked. Other than that, I would highly recommend this product.Rowdy

Good grip

I am elderly and live in a rental, so I could not install metal grab bars that need to be screwed into the wall or shower tile. I saw these on Amazon and read the reviews before placing my order. As other reviewers said, the grip is great and feels secure. As for the installation, I did it myself and, being aged, my hands are not that strong anymore. I thought I would not be able to close the lock once they were in place. But, with a little perseverance, I managed. One reviewer indicated that it is a good idea to check for the grip before using it to lift yourself, like out of the tub. I only will use those to steady myself in the tub/shower. Nonetheless, I will make sure they are sturdy before I use them. At my age, a fall would be catastrophic.

Good grip and suction.

I had bought a fancy grip for the shower before but couldn’t bring myself to drill into our nice shower tiles. This seemed like a good solution and it worked. My wife was afraid that a suction bar wouldn’t be safe but it proved to be. It’s a little lightweight so it doesn’t look like the highest quality but it is engineered well.

Added safety

I had a new shower installed and it didn't have handles like my old one. I didn't even think about it until after I started using the shower. I am very short and it seemed like the tub was higher than my old one. I was happy to find these and they work great! Very easy to install and have not budged at all since I placed them. I love them so much I now have them in my other showers too. I highly recommended them!

Works great on truck shell

I bought these to use on the inside of my truck shell tailgate window so I could close the window once I was in the back of the truck for the night. I needed something that would distribute the pressure put on the glass and would still be easy for me to grip in the dark. They worked great! I put one on each bottom corner of the glass and am able to reach both at the same time so I can pull the window closed to insure both latches on the window grab.

Does exactly what I was hope for

I am in my mid-70s and I had become increasingly anxious when stepping into my bathtub/shower. The product was easy to install, although for me pressing the latches into place once positioned did take most of my strength; that is probably a good thing, it will help maintain suction. I always test them before I step into the tub, but after a month of use, they haven't moved at all. They have given me great peace of mind. I saw some reviews state they didn't stay in position for long, but perhaps they weren't installed on smooth surfaces, or the latches were not fully closed. On this site, it mentioned red or green indicators on the latches, but mine did not include those. They would be helpful, but I could tell when the latches were fully closed. One thing that could have been better would have been enclosing directions in the package. There was a company sticker on the outside of the plastic bag, but no other written information. I was able to go back to this site to see instructions, but not everyone would necessarily have that opportunity.

The suction is excellent

These grab bars work great for my purposes which are to get my 90-year-old father in and out of the shower without him being fearful of falling. They are used on a smooth surface one-piece shower tub enclosure. The suction is excellent, but I remove them each time they are used and keep them bagged to preserve the rubber. This was a much better potion than drilling through my enclosure for a permanenet bar and be limited to install at the spots where studs are.

Excellent after 10 weeks in shower

I never thought I'd write a review of these and was very skeptical after reading about some problems other reviewers have. I rent a winter home and the landlord is too cheap to install permanent grab bars in the large walk in showerI got these, followed the directions and have had no problems. They haven't come off, don't budge at all when I use them for support. As per directions, you shouldn't transfer all your weight onto one of these. They are meant to give you some stability and leverage. Also, i check them every time I get into the shower to make sure they are secure.Overall an effective snd economical solution for when you can't have permanently installed grab bars

Good product With Caveat

First the product works .It will form a strong suction so that you can use it as handhold in the bathroom shower or bath tub. One caveat. You must have a wall- tile preferably- that does not have separations that exceed the length of the device. the device will not fully adhere if there is break in the surface. Also the device will not adhere to any porous surface. Must be non porous. But if your tile surface has no separations the device works really well...held my 200 lb weight...Also the surface must be clean , no dirt oil or soap film. well worth the price and you don't have to drill the tile
