Used for shower walls. I have work with other suction bars 6 years ago and they seem to come off the walls ( and back 6 years ago) they came off periodically. I hoped they were NOW being made better. Time will tell.

I had foot surgery and am unable to walk on it until it heals. This means taking showers is not-so-much-fun for a while. I installed these just after, and overall like them. Here's my pros and cons:Pros: Easy to install. They take a little muscle to push the levers over for suction, but can be done. If you struggle, try using something sturdy to push against it. They will support weight, if attached securely enough. They are also positionable and removable after they are no longer needed. I feel like they are a good purchase.Cons: BE CAREFUL when installing that they are SECURE against the shower stall. This means do NOT install when the wall is wet, because the handle will slip around the minute you put weight on it. Always TEST the handles each time before relying on them. They WILL slip, which can result in unexpected unpleasant gravitational incidents. Be forewarned!

These are very very strong. The lever to lock in place is very very hard to push in though. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. The product page shows a gal doing the install. She must be very strong. I had to realize apply a lot of force to push in the lever. So it removes 1 star. I think a senior might need assistance installing this. I also don’t see “ red/green “ locking indicators.

I like these. The ones I have will suction well to a tile wall. They are fairly difficult to remove if you don't want to keep them up permanently. You have to realize they are not designed to support full body weight, particularly for a heavy person. They are useful to hold on to and steady yourself to maintain balance. We have a rental condo, and I put them up when we stay there, and I take them down when we leave for liability purposes. I expect over time the ones I attach and reattach may have less suction. Depending on how long they last, that might be acceptable. They are not that expensive to replace.
