My smoke detector only works with 9.0 volts. A rechargeable battery has less than 9.0 volts. So a lithium battery is the way to go.

This device works, simple and effective. Neighbors dogs barked all the time, now not so much. We placed it 20 feet from neighbors yard but range may be longer. Definitely make sure to keep eye on battery life. Colder climate drains batteries faster.

You don't find these at the grocery store, and seldom at the hardware store. Lithium's work better than Alkaline's at subzero temperatures (occasionally occurring here in MI). Bought it for my garage door opener keypad for that reason.

The best idea for the high ceilings so I don't have to worry about them going out for 10 yrs. I'll see how long they actually do last & get back to you!

These batteries will save you money in the long run especially if you're using them for 18V PreAmps in active instruments. I've had no issues with the volume outputv whatsoever and will continue buying these. They're great in value in comparison to other more expensive brands.

So far so good... bought as replacement for smoke detectors that are still functioning.

Rechargeables are not ideal for smoke alarms. So I got these. They are the exact specs for the rcommended batteries and I haven't had a glitch since

Bought lithium for shelf life. These work in my stud finder just as well as energizer lithium at a significant discount. Funny to see they shipped in a large box/carton to prevent damage. Another good product with the amazon logo on it.

Makes my smoke detector stop beeping. That's all I ask of it.
