Speaker has decent over all sound but lacks the bass response that many comparable speakers can produce. The turn on jingle tone is louder than necessary and the default turn on volume is quite loud. Other than those three things I would say this speaker is worth the $50 price range.

I've had this bluetooth speaker for over 2 years now and it's a great portable little speaker and I take it everywhere.Couple of annoying things I hope Monster addresses:Volume button is the most annoying feature of the speaker. Another reviewer mentions it as well. The "Goodbye" and "your device is connected" voice prompts are extremely loud.Next, again the Volume control does not increase or decrease incrementally. It's all or nothing when it comes to Volume. If Monster could address those annoying items, I'd consider buying an updated version of this model. It's a decent speaker and can get pretty loud with nice bass.

Great little speaker but the battery didn't last 2 year's. Very disappointed.

Its a nice little speaker at a lower price, nice bass, good volume. It was easy enough to pair for streaming. The micro sd slot is a nice feature. Lacking a shuffle mode though, would have been nice. The strap at the top also a good idea.Personally I found the mid-range sound quality muddy. Maybe you can compensate through a phone app EQ. I refuse to install most apps because they seem to all require an inordinate amount of access to areas of the phone like contacts, texts, gps for unfathomable reasons.

I bought 2 of these to have stereo wherever I want to hear music. They link together and with my phone seamlessly. The sound is really good, not bass heavy but more of a natural sound, pretty clear sounding. The worst thing about these speakers are the super loud voices you hear when you turn on or off and link them or if your battery gets low. Wish there was a way to turn then way down... Overall, I'm glad I got these speakers, they are what I was looking for in a bluetooth speaker.

Sound is clear but bass is not good

I was very hopeful for this product. Unfortunately, the battery doesn’t last, the Bluetooth range is weak, and the newer versions do not sync up for older versions. Really hoped this would do it for me. Ended up giving it away. Do yourself a favor, invest in a quality sound engineering system.

I've had this speaker for almost two years & when I got it/the first six to eight months I absolutely loved it & I used to work in live sound, so I'm very picky, but this was amazing I told everyone I know to buy it. But at about eight months, the charge suddenly held for a lot less time, maybe an hour or two while I was at home or in my office working. This has decreased to where I get maybe a good 40 minutes now before the low battery warning & in the last month the speaker won't fully charge & the charging light has not come on. I've tried different charging cables & different wall outlets/charging points which work for all my other devices, so I know it's the speaker. Such a shame because now with price being what it is & my fear that it may last even less time than my last one I don't think in this economy it's replaceable. I will miss that sweet sweet sound though!

This has been a pretty good speaker, but unfortunately now it is a dud. It will not charge anymore, so all I hear is a "battery low" voice, even as I try to charge it. I've tried new micro USB cords new charging ports you name it. I tried resetting it, it has just gone bad for no reason at all. Very disappointing. All I will say is even if you moderately use it, don't plan on it going the distance because I've barely used mine and it has let me down.
