I've always loved Tile, but the drawback was that in the OLDER models the battery was not replaceable. This made me furious -- I felt that I was paying a lot of money to essentially "lease" the Tile, because it had to be thrown away in a year and replaced. But... TA DA! The new Tile has a user-replaceable battery. Hallelujah! (I have not actually had to replace the battery yet, but it SHOULD work!) I can not begin to explain how useful I find this tool. I own a BUNCH of these -- one each for my keys, laptop, favorite coat, dog leash, Swiss Army knife, several different TV remotes, my computer bag. the kid's school bag... Hey, maybe if you're less scatter-brained than I am you don't need this, but I use my Tiles every single day. They aren't cheap, but the first time it helps you find something while you're trying to dash out the door it all makes sense, ESPECIALLY if you lose something in an odd place. (How did my keys wind up under the sofa?) PLEASE UNDERSTAND WHAT THIS CAN (and can not) DO -- If you are close to your missing item (like in your house) it's great -- just press the button on your smartphone and the Tile will beep until you locate it. Just as handy for letting you know that your missing item is NOT nearby. (Hmm... I don't hear the Tile for my coat beeping in the house... must have left it in the car....) Tile is NOT a GPS, and doesn't pretend to be. For example, suppose you leave your house keys in a rental car that keeps changing locations after you return it -- Florida, Ohio, Kentucky... You will be able to see the last place where your keys and your smartphone were near each other. ("Last seen: Miami International Airport") . It will NOT tell you that your keys are now in Indiana. Tiles does offer a feature where you report your Tile lost, and if another Tile owner happens to pass by your missing item it will alert them -- I've never had to test this. MINOR drawbacks -- Tile makes a unit thin enough to fit in your wallet (cool!) but, well, BECAUSE it's inside your wallet it can be hard to hear it beeping when you are searching for it. Tile comes with a hole in it so it can easily go on a keyring -- it can take some modest ingenuity to figure out how to attach it to some other items. (For the TV remotes we attach the Tile to a rubber band. Then we open the battery compartment of the remote, slide the rubber band around batter compartment door, and then snap the battery door shut -- intentionally pinching the rubber band inside. There must be a better method, but you get the idea).

I’m the type to always have the silent mode “on” on my phone because of work/school (I’m sure most of you do too), so this is the perfect device if you misplace your phone while it is on SILENT! The only things that will stop you from finding your phone with this device is if you’re too far or your phone is out of battery. This model in particular has a replaceable battery so you don’t need to repurchase after a year or so, like their earlier models. So far it has been a ton of help, but I have yet to see how well it’s water resistance works.

Love this! We lose our remote all the time. We use to have to buy a new remote each time we lost it. With the tile, we had to get creative on how to attach it to the remote. A hair tie can be seen in the picture. The app was easy to download. When the remote gets lost, we to go the app on either my phone or my husband's, push the find button, and the tile will beep. We've also discovered if you push the button on the tile itself, 3 times, it will ring your phone! And also, my husband and i can ring each other's phone in case we lose our phones! Highly recommend this product!

I use this for my cat, it's on his collar. My cat is an indoors cat, but sometimes he manages to escape so I bought this product. I now can easy find him whenever he escape to the bushes outside. I never had any problems with my tile, and it is durable enough to withstand my cat. The battery hasn't died yet and I have been using it for a couple months by now. The sound isn't very loud, but I can always hear it. And the app is super easy to use.

Not just for keys. I have a rescue kitty who is declawed and getting up in age and I’m terrified of him getting out. Usually he is I just hiding on a basket of clean laundry that I’ve overlooked. He tends to be an escape artist this way I can ring to see if he is in the house and if not now he can be tracked with the tile. This is a kitty saver and gives me a great piece of mind. Love that I can recharge them now.

After thinking my wallet had been left somewhere, I ordered a set of these Tile trackers. I'd thought about getting them before, but glad I waited if only because now some of the units have replaceable batteries. They work well and have already helped me find my phone when I dropped it in my yard while doing yardwork. Since they're new I can't rate the battery life on the Tile Slim which is stated to last 1-year from activation.

I got my first Tile free last year with a promotion and loved it. I used it to keep track of my keys AND my cell phone (which I can ring from my keys). When I needed another key tracker, I almost bought another brand that was on sale. But then I Googled comparison reviews and found the top tech sites rank Tile as having the loudest ringer and the best range. Also, Tile has a large network of users, and they help track each other's Tiles. If you lose whatever is attached to your Tile, it will show up on a map when another Tile user is within range of the item with their app turned on. So I ordered two packs of 4 Tiles this time. We hid one in our vehicle in case it's ever stolen, one in our travel trailer for the same reason, and attached another to our dog's collar just in case. I gave one to my son for his keys, and used one for my second set of keys. Last week I also gave a Tile to a friend who is always losing her keys, and she has used it several times already. These new Tiles come with replaceable batteries, which the original version did not have. Those batteries were only good for about a year, and then you had to replace the Tile. So make sure you're buying the NEW 2018 version with replaceable batteries. The 4 packs at their current price cost only less than $15 per Tile (with Prime). I've saved literally hundreds of dollars in time and potential locksmith expenses—not to mention the peace of mind gained—using my Tiles (which is why I bought so many this time). It's one of the best investments I've ever made, and I highly recommend them. *I am NOT associated with the maker or any seller of Tile in any way; this is my honest, unsolicited opinion.
