I have recently started collecting a lot of plants, inside and outside, this device is so easy to use and really helps me know when my plants need water, if the soil is at the right ph and just really helps me take better care of my plants. I am so grateful to have it and it was at a great price

Hello well I got four Citrus trees tested and the tip broke on the first tester. I like how it was fast reader. The screen is hard to read at angles and in the Sun. So has I said I broke the first one tip broke. So I’m using a Philip screw driver to push in the dirt to make a sleeve for the tester to go in dirt. So I came up with this idea before I went to the Box store for a replacement. Of course they only one they had was the two prong. So now I have to make another hole in the dirt. For the second prob and there close together. Ok these trees are In Arizona clay and rock. Got the last Citrus tree done. Now I am doing the garden. Now I’m in new organic topsoil soft. What happens as pulling it out of the soil and one of the tip broken off. Not to good two in one day. So I think it needs to be solid metal all the way. I’m back at ordering the second one of these. I give it a five star as nice. PS as I have said use a screw diver to make a hole. Had I done that I think it’s going be good.

great product especially if you are trying to keep indoor plants alive. i’ll never over water them now. the temp on the meter constantly reads 23f which is completely incorrect as i live in SW Florida. but i dont need it to tell me the temp so i still give it 5 stars

I have taken an interest in Bonsai trees and have bought four. After reading about care of these it became clear that the reason some people run into problems is fro either over or under watering. I can understand this as I really can't tell but looking or feeling the top of the soil whether they need watering of not. This device has worked well for me. It is simple to use and just gives three readings dry, normal or wet. I wait till I get a dry reading and immediately water. My trees are healthy and growing well. Have also used this to check outdoor planters with the same result. Seems well made and I expect the batteries will last a long time.

At the price, I was expecting a cheap plastic housing but was greeted by a solid plastic shell. I installed 4 AAA batteries and checked some dry and wet soil and the unit gave a believable reading. I checked the PH of some garden soil with this unit as well as a chemical test strip. Both were in agreement which satisfied me with regard to the accuracy and value of this handy tool.

I purchased and returned two other soil meters before I purchased this one. It has been working quickly and consistently for 5 months now.I use it most often to prevent over-watering plants. However, I have learned that potting soil, even from trusted brands, can vary significantly in pH. With this, I can amend this soil before adding the plants.I appreciate that the screen is large and bright and easy to read.

The four and one soil moisture meter does the number of things for the gardener to make your garden more productive. It gives you soil moisture /pH reading/sunlight intensity. It is a very handy device to use to manage a maintain your Gordon at peak performance. Do not leave it out in the weather it is not waterproof.
