This turns a regular plug into a multiplug with 3 USB! So nice for bathrooms, or bedside (places where you need lots of plugs). It is so great. Super easy to install. The attachable shelf top is so convenient for your cell phone. I couldn't be happier with this.

A variation on the now ubiquitous wall multiple-with-USB-ports theme, this outlet multiplier features a shelf that attaches to the top or bottom via grooves. It has plenty of room to keep my Echo Tap off the kitchen counter, and rest my phone while charging, as well as a lot of outlets to keep my countertop devices plugged in. Very convenient, works well, recommended.

Love this in my kitchen to keep my phone off of the wet counter while I cook. It also lets me leave the coffee maker and grinder plugged in while letting me charge my phone and use misc appliances like the waffle maker when needed. It screws into the center of the outlet, so it never falls out of the socket. Perfect.

I am really glad I found this little plug in device! So many things come these days without a regular plugin adapter, that having the SUB ports connected directly to the socket plate is a perfect, well thought out idea! It is easy to install, and sits flush against the wall plate that is already there. The design and construction are solid, not cheap. There is room to charge your USB devices and still be able to plug in other things, which is awesome, considering how many devices most homes have these days! The tray on the top is also great for holding a phone or two (size dependent) while charging, and not have to take up counter space or figure out where to set them while they do!

So the Socket Shelf plugs into your wall socket and provides, in exchange for the two plugs it covers, six plug for plugging items in as well as three USB chargers. It works well. I tested it by plugging all the plugs in and everything was taking charge or worked in operation when still plugged in. The shelf on top of the unit is a little plastic shelf for holding your cellphone, ipod, ipwatch etc while its charging. The shelf is a little chinsey, but overall the unit works well and I'm happy with it. Strong recommend...if you are looking for a way to get two plugs to do the work of six, this is a really good way to do it!

I reallly like having this little shelf and extra plugs and USB ports. It's actually fairly sturdy and can hold phones, tablets, etc. The installation is pretty easy. You will need a flat-head & Philips head screwdriver (not included). The flathead screwdriver is to remove the single screw that holds the outlet cover on your house outlet, but LEAVE the outlet cover on, just take out the screw. Make sure to slide the shelf on prior to plugging in the new shelf outlet. It slides on from the backside. Then plug the unit into the top outlet. Once plugged in, take the included long Philips head screw and screw it into the hole that is in the original outlet cover. This will keep the unit more secured than just plugging it in. Super easy and now I have a nice charging station.

This is a very useful and well-designed device. It looks very nice and gives you six extra outlets (three on each side) plus three USB charging ports with a little shelf to hold devices while charging. The shelf can also be removed if you don't want or need it and can also be placed on the opposite side in cases where the outlet may be upside down. It mounts securely to a standard outlet using the center mounting screw that is provided. Note, you will not be able to mount this to a Decora-style outlet but it should still plug in, just without the securing screw. The device also has surge protection, which is an added bonus. It seems like they though of everything in designing this. We like everything about it and would definitely recommend it.

Used this for several components in the living room behind a cabinet. I love that there are outlets on the side that will take a computer or stereo plug. Do note that you cannot use a large, square plug on the side as they will not allow this surger to sit flush on the wall. Also note that the plug over the three USB ports also must be a straight plug and not a "brick" style in order to give you access to the USB charging ports. The shelf is great for charging items (like a smartphone, music player, iPod) so that you don't have to stretch the cord or worry about tripping over it. This comes with a screw to attach to the outlet for greater stability (especially if you will be using the shelf), but it also sits fine on its own. I like this as an off-the-floor alternative to a power strip.

This is a very handy little addition to our house. It has 3 USB charging ports as well as several regular outlets, some facing forward and others sideways. This arrangement makes it easier to make maximum utilization of the plugs when you have some devices that have those annoyingly large power bricks that plug in to the wall. The shelf is useful for holding your phone(s) while they charge. The photos show an iPad there as well. I'm not sure I would put an iPad plus anything else on the shelf, but I'm more cautious than most in that area. A phone or two should be fine. Just be aware that the USB ports share a total of 3.4 amps, so the more you plug in the slower everything charges. This is one of those things that you won't realize how much you needed it until you have it!

Very cool. It simply plugs into an existing outlet. There is a center bolt to hold it securely to the receptacle, but most modern receptacles don't use a center bolt - if that's true for you, you can simply push it out. It still holds fairly well without it (and is meant to be used with either) It just can't work with outlets that don't have a ground plug. The shelf is rigid and secure enough to hold phones or small devices. And all the plugs! Holy Moley! 8 of 'em! And three, high-powered USB ports. Just don't overload the AC outlets - most household lines are 15A and just charging USB devices uses 1-3 each. My only mild disappointment is that this one does not have red/green LED indicators on each USB port to show when it's charging or not, as the outlet that this one is replacing did. 4.5 stars
