Lovely design works well. But the triggers click like regular buttons which is different then the original gamecube controller. So if you don't like that you might want a different controller.

Only issue with the down joy stick. Sometimes moves on its own or doesn't move all the way. Can get Abit irritating sometimes when your in a middle of a competitive battle. But if just playing something casual and taking things slow then controls are good.

This is an excellent 3rd party GameCube controller for the Switch. If you are like me and just like the GameCube's controller layout and don't want to buy a pro controller that will break-down after 2 months for $70; this will get it done. The controller doesn't feel cheaply made like some of the other Switch pro controller alternatives (many of which, I will note, are getting positive review bombs in exchange for Amazon gift cards), and I am greatly enjoying having it. As for the negatives, the controller is not a perfect substitute for an actual official GameCube Controller. The L and R buttons are stiff and can't be pressed softly to go in only part of the way, the C-stick is a little bit slippery, and there are two Z buttons. If you are using the GameCube adapter to use your official controller to play Smash Bros on the Switch and want to simply go wireless, this likely isn't going to satisfy you. I've heard that the old Wavebird controller for the GameCube will work in the adapter with surprisingly low lag, so if authenticity is what you want, you may want to consider that for a wireless option. Also as noted on the product details, this controller needs AA batteries. It is a little bit odd to me that they couldn't figure out a way to include some sort of chargeable battery and cable, but I would recommend buying some rechargeable AA that come with a wall plug dock. Overall, it is a solid buy for a day to day pro controller, but may not work for the most die-hard Smash Fans that want the OG GameCube controller experience. I am having no personal issues with it outside of the L and R button and my mild annoyance at the battery situation.

This controller is fine. Got it for wife and daughter, who like the GameCube button setup- we have a wired one and I thought it would be nice to have a wireless one for more versatility. It connected fine and the controls work as expected. This is the only Bluetooth device I've ever seen that takes regular single-use batteries, which is a little silly- given the lack of a rechargeable battery, this controller's price is not warranted. There is no rumble and no option to use it as a wired controller when batteries run out. This is as described, but it really has to be evaluated against other wireless switch controllers; it does not measure up without a rechargeable battery, rumble or a corded option.

As expected!

The triggers aren’t analog like the original so they don’t press in like they used to but everything else is just right. It even works on PC for gamecube emulation and the cable is long enough (too long sometimes but it is detachable!)

**NOTE: This controller, in software, emulates a SWITCH PRO CONTROLLER, NOT a GameCube controller.** Keep that in mind if you'd like to swap between it and Joycons in Smash. They will share the same settings. (Note: I worked around this by using two different player profiles - named 'Joy' and 'GCube' respectively - in SSBU and swapping between them. I'm yet to test if this works for Online, however.) This also means that you these count towards the max of 4 standard Switch controllers you can have connected to the Switch at once. You can still connect the 4 additional GC controllers, if you so desire. I have never owned a GameCube, and haven't used the GC Controller or WaveBird enough to compare them beyond weight. Thus, I'm not able to directly compare how it "feels" to use. Look elsewhere if that matters to you. Although I haven't tested it, You should theoretically be able to use this with your PC to play games via Steam or emulators. Other things to note: ~ Controller uses 2 AA batteries, similar to a Wavebird. They last roughly 20-30 hours of use in practice. ~ Plastic isn't of the highest quality, but it's serviceable. ~ Controller is substantially lighter than a standard WaveBird or Gamecube controller, which I personally like, but could be seen as a con. I believe you could theoretically mod them to alter the weight. ~ I have not experienced any drift on either of my controllers. Overall, It's a good-enough controller for the price, and more portable than a standard controller + a GC-to-USB Switch dongle.

Feels comfortable in hands. Happy that it has the inputs of a modern controller. The only thing that took getting used to was the L and R are not analog and actually have quite a bit of travel before they click. Also they feel stiff so depending on the game you can be late on inputs and also tired.

The controller is amazing. the only downside it has is that in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, it doesn't actually register as a GCB controller. but that's extremely easy to work around

This controller does not have rumble or any vibrations, or NFC scan for amiibo. With that being said, if you liked the original Gamecube Wavebird controller, this controller is probably for you. The original wavebird did not have vibration as well. I have not used it to play competitive smash or anything like that but I did use it for a couple other switch games. This controller is extremely light and comfortable, like the original Wavebird. You can play with this controller for hours and your hands will not hurt. I feel like the A button is very clicky, but it functions without a problem. This controller also has a nice d-pad on it, which works great. The controller does feel a bit plastic-y and cheaply made, so its probably not worth the original price, but if you can find it on sale I would recommend. Like the original Wavebird, this controller takes 2 AA batteries. They didn't print an estimated battery life on the box but I can say, expect battery life on par with.. the original wavebird! The original wavebird is known for extremely good battery life. I put EBL brand rechargable AA batteries in this controller and I have been playing with it for many, many hours and it shows no signs of dying yet. I would easily estimate 40-80 hours of battery life on a good set of AA batteries. This does not suck down batteries like other controllers.
