We used this for a out door cat . He loves it . Lays on the top during the day and sleeps in it at night . We also have a self heating bed on the inside . The outside cat kinda came with house we bought . He is social with us but not with our pets and won't come in the house . So this was perfect for him.

My cat likes laying in the house on her blanket. It does take awhile to put together at first and I wish they did a better job at sanding the edges but overall it’s nice and cute.

Great deal for the price of an entire dog house. Instructions were straight forward. Had a little trouble with the stairs. Painted each piece first with spray paint. Sanded some parts of the wood. No need for primer. I started off with priming a few pieces then I tested just spray painting one and it was JUST FINE without the primer. Overall GREAT QUALITY

Got this as a feeding station for my 18 pound cat, to keep the pug out of the cats food. I did not add the ladder only because I am pretty sure the pug would use it and help herself to the cat food. In the bottom I put a small blanket for the cat to sleep it watch out of the window. Doesn’t feel super sturdy but works for intended purpose. Strong pine smell which I love.

I would have given this 5 stars, but the wood is splintered in a lot of places. It’s not a good finish. It was fairly simple to assemble. The panels aren’t labeled for easy identification, but that’s not too difficult to figure out. Just make sure you know what’s what before you begin to screw it together. The ladder is more for a cat than for any size dog. So, we didn’t bother attaching it. We put a small step in place of the ladder, which works perfect for our 13 lb dog. I don’t think there are too many dogs who would climb a ladder. All in all, my dog loves it.

I got it for a cat litter box. It didn't fit so now it's a cat tree /house

Love this dog house. My dog is finally able to look outside our patio. The only problem is the stairs were not included. Hoping the stairs can be sent out.

This ended up being a pretty cute house. I was worried about it being too small, but it ended up being the perfect size. My boys may only be 20lbs but they are long and lanky. It did come out of the box pretty rough. I took an extra trip to Home Depot to grab sanding blocks and I spent about 4 hours sanding down everything (I have hairless dogs so the last thing they or I need is a splinter). Afterwards I spent about 2 hours masking and painting. It went together really easily, but the wood isn't the best quality. It split a couple of times (which I was able to fix with support brackets and wood glue) and I ended up hitting a pretty gnarly knot which I had to fight through. I wrapped the steps with butcher's twine to give some grip for the pups and secured with more wood glue on the bottom (got the idea from another reviewer). The finished product is handsome, sturdy, and I think worth the money and time I put into it. It did take a LOT more work to make ready than I anticipated. I wish someone had touched some of these panels with a rotary or hand sander before shipping it out. BUT all in all I would recommend this to a friend. Now my pups can judge EVERYONE who walks by!

I was trying to find a little "Penthouse" for my Pom Cleo so she could be more eye level with me in my office. I wasn't trying to break the bank and but I also didnt want to spent too much building it. I think for the value, you get what you pay for. I read several reviews and agree with most of them. Below are some of the pros and cons:Con: -The wood is splintered in some spots. Overall the wood quality is cheap but I expected that. -Some of the pre drilled holes were off, which wasn't a big deal. I aligned it myself and just drilled a new hole. -You cant tighten the screws too much or you can splinter the wood really easy. -The stairs are absolutely worthless. I have no clue how any dog can actually use them. I just tossed them out and bought some stairs from pet smart for $20. -I did notice some spots weren't stained evenly. That wasn't a big deal for me anyways because I was planning on painting it. -I was missing long screws. I had to go into my set of screws to find some that would be long enough.Pros: -It is a great size for my 8lb pom. -It was super easy to build (except the annoying stairs). -If you add a couple extra screws, you can reinforce it to make it pretty sturdy. -Painted really easy!Overall, I like this little house. I bought it knowing I wanted to make some modifications myself. I think overall for the price, its worth it. My little Pom loves it and its the perfect size. It isn't too bulky and fits nicely in my office. I would just highly suggest you get new steps for it.
