Tried pulling dandelion weeds but when you step on it to go deep it breaks when you try to lift the weeds. Couldn’t get the roots. Thought it was operator error so my men friends tried and it wouldn’t work. Had to bend and use weeder and dig out roots. Very sturdy and well built but prongs too short. Disappointed.

The part of the weeder that you put into the middle of the weed is not long enough. and therefore does not remove the weed.

So many good reviews, but I’m not happy with the product. It only works if you can clearly see the entire weed. I have different weeds growing in bunches so this tool is useless.

Too short between lever and weed grabber to dig in and close to pull

Was happy to use the tool, pulled one weed out..YaY!! But after that pull, the tool broke on the metal end.

It does not work like the description implys, very hard to use and not even close to the money it cost.

Aside from the near 2 month delay - the box arrived with 2 sticks, a chipped up, damaged tube of metal, a metal claw piece and 1 screw rolling around. No padding, no instructions, and damaged pieces. This is the dumbest tool I've ever encountered. After having used my neighbors weeder tool I understand the concept of how it's supposed to work. This tool is completely bass ackwards - the claw opens when you step down on it and the lever does not release until you grab it with your hand -(or are you supposed to be able to use your foot? because you can't get your foot under the level once you push it into the ground) to close it to grab the weed. So you're just sticking it in the ground - stepping on it to engulf the weed and push it around it and then bending down to manually pull the lever up to grasp the weed and release it by stepping on it again? My Grandpa would have never used this piece of crap because it'd be easier to get down on your knees and dig the weed out - something this tool was supposed to overcome! I can't return it now because i've tried to use it and marred it up - and I can't seem to dismantle it! Junk

Only works in very specific area with soft soil and large weeds. Inefficient with small weeds or harder soils.

I'm recovering from back surgery and this was a waste of time and money. It wasn't useful on big or little weeds.

Don't waste your money. You'll be returning it the next day. You can accomplish the same results by kneeling over and grabbing the weeds and ripping. Thongs don't go deep enough to get the whole root.
