Don’t buy. Breaks weeds right off at the top. Claws need to be much longer to be effective. Don’t waste your money

Once you quickly learn how to center it over the weed it works great but after only pulling out less than 20 weeds (on moist soil) the lean lever snapped. I didn't bend it just snapped clean off. I contacted Amazon and as usual they were great on a return, now I just have to trudge up to Kohl's to return it and get my refund. After I get the refund I might order an other one and only use it on small to medium weeds. Update: After waiting for more than a month and a half I received the replacement. The replacement isn't even the same model, a very cheap copy of the Grandpas Weeder, the handle is a very light weight wood not sturdy at all, it's not even varnished, it has a the Grandpas Weeder emblem but thats about all it has of the original. From reading a lot of reviews it seems like there are a lot of phony weeders being sold on Amazon. Since it took so long to get here the refund window closed so I will not bother trying to return it to China. I just want to warn everyone to stay away from the Weeders on Amazon do a Google search for on for the nearest one available in your area it's not worth gambling if you get a crappy one or not plus you will not be supporting disreputable sellers.

The prongs are only two incheslong or so, and the foot peddle sits low, so I could not get enough leverage to remove the weed. It was honestly easier to pull it by hand.

The handle broke the first time I tried to use it...I was going to dig in an existing flower bed (not compacted soils) to plant a Lilly and the first time I put the blade in the dirt the handle snapped about a foot up the handle?

Followed the instructions to a T on 6 plants....it pulled exactly ZERO roots out of the ground and only pulled about a golf ball size chunk of dirt out of the ground. I would send it back but it would cost me more to go buy a box for it to fit in. 0/10

Grabs absolutely nothing and complete waste of time. So much instead of returning I just threw it away as not to waste anymore time in the dang thing!

I receive the recheck sometimes we get those and anything that we purchase instead of pushing down on that arm at the bottom of the foot I had to lift it it was put on backwards not too happy

Granted this thing does get the head of the weed I'm wanting to remove, however it does just breakoff from the root about 1" below the ground. The soil get stuck on the prongs every time so you need to remove that and the head of the weed. Maybe it is meant for "younger weeds" with not thick roots.

What a waste of money. Wanted to make it easier to clean out my garden bed. This didn’t even leave a mark on the weed and certainly didn’t pull any of them. Extremely disappointed.

This does not work at all like the video or even work at all in any way. That's it in a nutshell but if you want more....arrived a month late. Item was in 4 pieces and had to be put together. Not like the picture or video. There is a hole in the metal piece to put a screw in, but no screw. There is not an adjacent hole in the wood to put the screw in and it really should have one so the wood doesn't split. The box was all ripped up and the whole thing stuffed in a bag and taped up. At that point I decided to return. $30 dollare for this! Went to return and you have to pay to return. So I thought well maybe I could put it together with a screw from my box and try it. I did. It in no way works. It's a horrible product. When you try to press it in with your foot it trys to open up and is working against itself. Horrible design. I will not be able to use this to weed at all. In trying to leave feedback on it to the company, yes I think that's only fair to give them a chance to respond. It won't let me submit because of.....choose your option. It kept running me around in a circle and telling me to redo everything again and again. I never got it to submit, so here I am, leaving a bad review, which I never do.
