Fort Worth, Texas reviewer: tool is light weight, which nice. The tines are not long enough to grab the base if the weed has a tap root. Also, it does not work well in our clay soil because even if it gets down into the soil at the right location to pull the root, there is not enough force in the tool to extract the weed. It might work in sand or loose soil.

This definitely made it easier to weed, but after the handle broke we are back to crawling around pulling weeds. Would expect this to be much more sturdy for the price.

Product seems effective at removing larger weeds, is easy to use, and is sturdy. Unfortunately, it is not effective with smaller weeds, and most of all, leaves large square holes in the yard since it removes 2-3 cubic inches of soil along with the weed's roots. You'll want sand or other soil handy to fill the holes. The smaller, cheaper hand weed tools are more effective and don't leave large holes.

Used it for the first time today. Prongs are not long enough to really dig into the soil. Pulled out the tops of the weeds but not any roots. Also very difficult to use on any slope. Will give it a few more tries but I will probably return.

Doesn’t work like review. Too much having to do. Must reach down and either finish pulling weed out or taking the weed off hook. Not very efficient.

This tool is definitely effective and easy to use. However, after a combined use of less than an hour the metal prongs fractured, eventually split and fell off shortly thereafter. I was very disappointed as this product was working great until it ultimately failed after such a short time.

Pulls weeds fine. However, it smashes the root in the claw and has no built it way to eject it. In clay soil it's a pain to remove the clogged root/dirt. I prefer something like the IIT Stand Up Weeder that has a way to easily eject the pulled weed.

I haven't looked close enough to see if the handle can be replaced, but the one that came with it broke on its second use. Disappointed. The metal doodad seemed to pull weeds pretty well before the tool became unusable.

I bought it to pull dandelions from my lawn, but unfortunately this weeder did not work for me. I can imagine that it could work better in lighter soil, but I have somewhat dense clay soil and 19 times out of 20 the dandelion root just breaks off at ground level. When one does come out it’s definitely satisfying, though!

I have been trying for a week or so now. Was all excited because I hate bending to pull weeds. Does not seem to do squat in my AZ yard that is dry, not wet and mulch like the videos. Yes I have watched. Yes I have done what it says. Maybe after a rain…who knows. Just do not get much of that in AZ.
