Does it get the weed out? For the most part. BUT each time you initiate it you’re stuck digging the mud out of it to do the next weed. Not worth it in my opinion, but can’t return it because I had to try it to figure that out.

If you are lucky and manage to pull a weed, you have to clear the clod of dirt captured in the tool l by hand. Just not very quick. Would not buy again.

A sturdy tool, but I find the prongs are too short to pull out the weed with the entire root. Part of the root is left in the ground, meaning that the weed will grow again soon. I used the tool while the ground was fairly damp from recent rain.

I bought this to use to dig up tall fescue grass. The prongs are not wide enough to span the size of the weed so it is not good for this. Since it came in a 3x4 foot box I will not return it. It might work on small weeds.

It’s hard to locate the weeds among my flowers so I end up pulling up good stuff along with the actual weed if I can even locate the weed in the bed. You still have to bend over to get the weed from the claw. It is easy to use though. I’ll keep trying

I was very excited to get this product. But it does not function. There are two grabbers at the base that go around the weed. Since they move in and out, there is no control as to holding the weed. You can just hope!! It is just not a great product, but instead just poor to ok on a small weed. I had to get my shovel for medium to strong weeds. : (

Dislike: The handle could be longer for those over 6' tall AND the jaws only open up wide enough for a single, small dandelion but for bigger weeds that are 4" or greater the jaws can not open wide enough to grab these larger single weeds. I'm contemplating sending it back for a refund.

If you can center it perfectly over the target weed, it can pull a big chunk of the root effectively. If not, you're going to have to dig. Unfortunately, a rock got wedged in mine after about 10 minutes of use, and it's going to take quite a bit of effort to get it working again.

My first experience with this tool produced a mixed result. It does grab the dandelion and if you grab the weed squarely it will pull out the top but out of 75 dandelion’s I managed to pull 5 roots. Not a good result. I did pour a salt/vinegar mixture into each hole hoping to kill most of the roots. This tool might work better in a sandy soil. My soil is loamy not clay so I thought I would have better results.

This works well with more superficial weeds – – smaller dandelions, for example. But with deeply rooted large dandelions it doesn’t get far enough down into the ground to get the whole root out. For those large dandelions I’m going to need to just sit down and use a fishtail weeding tool.I think I will keep it anyway for the smaller weeds but it’s not quite as wonderful as I had hoped.
