The end is hard to push into anything but soft dirt. It doesn't go through weed barrier or work where I have landscaping rocks. I think the end is intentionally not sharp for safety but it makes it hard to push in.

Works good on dry soil. Couldn't get weeds when wet ground, left the roots. Plus leaves big hole wet or dry. Also have to clean lots of debris from end after weed disposal. Not worth $40.

Doesn't work as smoothly as they show. Each pull brings up a wad of dirt and leaves a silver dollar sized divot.

I'm disappointed, especially after all the fabulous reviews. It would take you forever to weed a large area. You still have to pull the weed and mud out of the device. Weeds do not just fall out after pulling. Big weeds require multiple pulls to get it all. I don't recommend.

I had high hopes for this weeder and it does work on young weeds that are isolated. But weeds that are close together and in clumps are much harder to get out. Ipick axe or shovel tip probably works better.

I had the Fiskars one in the past-- the orange handle one that looks more complicated than this one. It worked. Unfortunately, I left it when I moved so I had to order another. This one is more "old school" and I thought I would try it this time since it is a little cheaper and the reviews were as good. It doesn't work as well, and I think it is because it only has two prongs. The other one had several sharp things that come together underground to grab the weed. This one does work but only on a fairly good size weed, not on little weeds. Also, it will not work on gravel. Another review had mentioned rake the rocks away from the weed before you try, and that does work. But it is a pain in the neck. Going to have to stick to the old way of the regular pronged fork and bending over, I guess!

The wood handle little too flexible

Didn't pull the full root out (dandelion); only got the tool length. Might have let the weed get too big, but still wasn't fully satisfied. Will see if weeds grow back.

It's easy to use but it only breaks the weed off below ground level so this isn't permanent but it does improve the look of your beds and yard.
