Is it okay for getting small weeds out? Yes. It is good for tackling a bunch of big crab grass in your yard? Probably not as expected. My issue was the latter, and this quickly proved not up to the task. It might be good for periodic one off weed removal though. The wood also got moldy after I left it outside for a few days, which was odd... because I have plenty of other wood handle stuff that I leave outside and it does not get moldy. It does seem rather delicate in terms of being able to handle long term use though, given how much it has already deteriorated. There's a huge lack of options on the market but I can't say that I'd recommend this. Frankly, using our golf clubs to wack these weeds (while practicing our swings) had been more effective for weed removal and a lot more fun. LOL.

The concept is good, but it takes some practice to get good at it. I just didn't have the patience to get good.

I was really excited but can’t figure out how it works! Have been unable to pull a weed yet!

I like this product, works pretty well and limits bending. Wet dirt gets stuck in the clamp so that was not great. The screw fell out, I replaced it with one I had and still works.

Well advertised, life time warranty is a plus, but it's double priced than other similar tools.

I've got a wild yard full of dandelions and decided to tame part of it. Once I got the hang of this tool it worked great, almost addicting! But, it rarely gets the whole root. I suspect if the soil was saturated it would work better, but dandy roots go very deep and if you have clay soil like we have, it's hard and fairly dry in summer. So, they just break off. My other beef is that it's often hard to empty – the claw doesn't want to let go very easily. But overall, it cleans up the leafy mess and it will probably be a while before they start to grow back. If you really want to get rid of dandelions without using herbicides, use a sharp shovel and pack a lunch.

I have tons of tools with wood handles and this one split all the way down. I still use it by zip tying it back up then duct taping it but the wood could have been better. The tool it self is awesome

It works however if you don't know exactly where that root is you will miss it. It does not have the range of a 3 prong weed remover so sometimes you have to look for it. I think I might have to get a different one.

Kneeling, leaning or squatting I always manage to get in the ants. This stand-up weeding device was just what I needed. Yes, you still get your hands dirty; the weeds must be physically removed from the device. However it works so much better on big nasty weeds (think dallis grass, nut sedge) that I can get much more done in a short time. If I had one issue, it would be that in wet ground the gizmo tends to grab wads of soul with the weeds. Not usually a problem in central Texas but it has been a wet spring. Part 2 - Weeding is still no fun and I changed my rating becausee the pole broke right in two while using the weeder. I did get two years out of it before it broke though.
