The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: Its now been 3 months and the fan is still running strong. It runs almost 24/7 with sun, rain, snow and even with it being -9 outside. I will be buying two more when spring comes to hopefully help keep down on the cost of running the AC in the summer. Also there are two smokers in the house now and it keeps the smoke out. No one can tell I smoke when they walk in. I’m very happy with this fan. Not a bad buy at all. I’m not sure why there are so many bad reviews. I love this fan. I bought it for the cold months so I could smoke inside but not have my house smell like smoke. It works great. I’m the only one in the house that smokes and no one else does. It does it’s job well and it has a warranty which is great. It’s not huge and looks good in my window which is fabulous.

Although reading other poor reviews I’d have to say I give this a 5 star rating I’ve had the fan 2 days and it works absolutely amazing it’s quiet and blows a s*** ton of air as if my AC unit was in the window. Yes you have to cycle through the settings to turn it off but unless your lazy it shouldn’t be a problem. I wish this unit had a remote but it doesn’t but gotta day this was the best $40 I ever spent!

I went from a big house to a 3-bedroom apartment and a toy kitchen (does no one actually cook anymore?). Anyway, the stove fan is for... it barely works. I needed, like someone else mentioned, a window fan to vent the by-products of cooking OUT! This works perfectly! During warm times I turn it around early in the morning to cool the apartment down. We also got a second one for the bedroom where the air is incredibly still. These do have to be manually turned to vent in or out, I don't understand why people whine about this. It's no big deal, and they aren't heavy. We have all slider windows and when venting in the part against the screen is very small, when venting out the thicker part of the unit is against the screen and pushes it out a bit. I try to support it so it isn't pushing at all... that's a little difficult but it is working. It's pretty quiet, or just enough hum to be a pleasant white noise. Recommended.

Unit works perfect in my daughters bedroom window. Not too tall or bulky. Draws in plenty of cooler air at night. She likes her room on the cool side at night and this fan did the trick with very little noise. Thermostat is a great feature so she doesn’t have to adjust the speeds in the middle of the night. The 3 speeds work as....middle blade =low, 2 outer blades =medium, all 3 blades =high.

Great fan, and is perfect for my needs. I love how quiet it is, and that the flow has three levels. The three levels are controlled with a mechanical switch, and basically switch whether 1, 2 or 3 fan blades are running at the same time. 1=Center motor, 2=Two outside motors, 3=All motors Pros: * The three fans (rather than the more common 2 fans) is a better design. This spreads out the airflow, and to my ears three small fans make less noise than two larger ones in other products I've used. * Runs quietly in all speeds * Designed to be used either in horizontal or vertical orientation (for those with windows that slide open horizontally) * While it's plastic of course, the case and switches feel like a soft plastic, and overall the fan has some good substance to it. The plastic used for this product doesn't feel "cheap", but somewhat premium. * 5 year warranty is much longer than other products I looked at. So long as the warranty can be serviced in the US, I feel good about the longevity of the purchase. Cons: * To reverse airflow, you have to remove the fan from the window, flip it around, and reinstall it. This isn't uncommon in other products, so it's barely a "con", but some products have airflow reverse switches that don't require removing the fan. I'm not bothered by this, but something to think about when choosing a product. * I've read others state in their reviews this fan uses fuses that aren't available in the US should they need to be replaced. I don't know if this is true, but if I end up having to toss this product in the bin because it blew a fuse I can't buy in my country, that'll be sad. Because I really like the product and hope it lasts a good long time.

*Update-all 3 of my fans are still going strong. They've been running nonstop since I bought them. Only shut them off when cleaning window screens. That's my only complaint...the amount of dust that collects between the fan and screen. Pretty sure that's my houses fault and not the fans, haha, I wipe down the fan and vacuum screen often or I have 3 dirty circles from the outside view. (My choice is to keep the screens on). My purchase was over a year ago, and I'm still happy. I have is the amount of dustbought the black with digital control, for the kitchen to act as a quick fix for an exhaust until we can get a wall unit put in. So flipping it is not an issue, for me. Our kitchen is not black, or dark in anyway, but the black fan really blends in. Almost went with a white to match, but am happy I didn’t. Took two seconds to throw in window and within a few minutes you could feel the temperature drop. Wasn’t why I purchased, but it was the first week of August, so it’s cooling effect was a bonus. I came back today, to buy a few more, as the ventilation it gives is amazing. I was thrown off by the low rating. Our fan has been going for over a month straight on high, and not for a second have I heard it. It’s completely quiet. I’m back to buy one for the bathroom, so we don’t have to listen to the ceiling exhaust fan. We all have allergies, and feel claustrophobic when the air feels stale and not moving. The fan is doing wonders for the air circulation in our old home. My initial choice to purchase this fan over others, even though it was a few bucks more, was for the shape. I’m very happy with not having to have the window open but a few inches and it’s so thin, the screen stays on and it sits pretty flush in the window. I only wish they could make one the size of a leveler, with 1 inch micro fans down the length of it, so I could put one in every window, while still being able to use the window locks. Inventors, please jump on that idea and send me one! Overall, great purchase and they now have a repeat customer. 👍

The media could not be loaded. I almost didn't purchase this unit because of the negative reviews. But I'm glad I did! For clarity, I purchased the unit with the digital controls (not manual). I have a couple of very narrow window openings in my home, so this being only about 7.25" wide made it ideal. NOISE LEVEL: I read a couple of reviews that complained about this unit being very loud. Not sure if perhaps those were faulty units, or if I just got lucky - but mine is NOT loud at all. I actually found the sound of the motor to be very faint, and most of the 'noise' from my unit is just the sound of the airflow as the speed increases. I have it on the highest speed right now and while it isn't silent, it's very soft and quiet. REVERSIBLE: There seems to be some confusion on this. The UNIT is reversible. The direction of the BLADES is not. So yes, you can reverse the airflow. But no, you can't reverse the direction of the blades themselves. To clarify - you can't reverse the flow of air with the touch of a button, you must reverse the unit itself in the window (take it out, turn it around, put it back in). Not as simple as flipping a switch, but still fairly easy - and there are controls on both sides of the unit so that you can turn it on or off and select the airflow speed no matter which direction it is facing. OUTPUT: The wind from this thing isn't going to knock anyone over, but it's a nice, relatively strong flow of air - especially considering the small size and low noise of the unit. It has really cooled down the side of the house where I installed it, and the breeze is fairly strong and refreshing. TEMPERATURE CONTROL: They have temperatures noted on the controls... I find this to be pretty silly. This is a fan, after all, not an AC unit. It does not have a thermostat, so the temperatures noted are totally meaningless. Take them with a grain of salt. If you want it cooler, turn up the speed - that's it. Bottom line - I'm glad I decided to order this, and I'm about to order another. It works great, and it fits my windows. I'm very happy with my purchase.

This is a small fan and fits well in the window without having to open it all the way or shove a huge box fan inside the window frame. The fan does run on 3 large PC like fans and they can move air. Setting 1 was ok but nothing to right home about. Setting 2 was comfortable but setting 3 was great! On setting 3 the fan was way quieter than a box fan and will not push as much air but it is a steady flow of air with no massive noise like a box fan. The setting controls are not we good as I had hoped but I can handle it for a fan this quiet.

Bought two of these last year and went back for more this year to put in all the bedrooms of a vacation home. I love how the skinny design fits in the window sill without removing the window screen and the curtains and window blinds can still close over the fan. Noise level was also a big factor in my choice of fan as these were going in a bedroom. I am the type that goes mental if there is ticking of a clock a room away so was worried about fan noise. These provide the perfect soft hum or whir of white noise.

WE JUST INSTALLED THIS IN AN OFFICE WINDOW IN OUR HOME AND IT WAS EASY SETUP AND LOOKS GREAT , FIT PERFECT, PLUS NO NOISE AND WORKS GREAT - DO NOT UNDERSTAND ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS BUT HAPPY TO HAVE BOUGHT THIS!!!! BRINGS IN NICE COOL AIR - IT IS NICE WITH THE ELECTRONIC TEMPERATURE CONTROLS SO NO HAVING TO KEEP CHANGING THE SPEEDS - REALLY LIKE IT!
