I purchased this fan to replace the one in my kitchen window. I have vertical sliding windows and the description said that it would work for them. Not so. there is nothing to keep the fan from falling out of the window. The other fan I have has a lip that tucks behind the windowpane to keep it safe. If you have horizontal windows, this will work. Otherwise, this is not for you. I am returning it.

I bought this fan to replace a similar fan I bought a long time ago that now sounds like it is on its way out. I was hoping it would fit in the small double hung window I use the old fan in, and it is just a little too big to fit, but I think I can get it to work with a little modification of the molding on the window. It would be much better if they put the size in the information on the website.

I put one in the west end of house, and put one in the east of the house, they work great, just wish they last more then one year. thank you

It’s quiet and works well enough for removing smoke from a room. The settings are a little annoying but not a big deal at all

Good for summer.it can use for small rooms

It looks good, is sturdy, moves a decent amount of air and is quiet. One thing bothers me. Rather than vary the speed of the fans for low, medium and high, this unit uses the center fan for low, the two outer fans for medium and all three for high. That means unless you always use high, the fans will wear out unevenly.

Keeps my room nice and cool, but the noise is definitely a bit distracting, especially on the high setting.

It's great for a bedroom because it is so quiet. You can leave your screens in the window, so no concern about bugs. To reverse airflow you simply flip it. Easy install, good product. Recommend buying a safety bar for the windows you use it in. Won't keep intruders out.

I have a room facing west and the room warms up a lot in the afternoon. After sunset I turn on the window fan and it pulls in cool air and cools down the room. The fan is not loud, not any louder than any other fans. I like the slim design and it fits vertically on my window which slides sideways. I wonder why there are not more manufacturer making these slimmer vertical window fans.

1. As noted in other reviews, you must physically turn this fan around to switch from intake to exhaust. BUT, the controls are duplicated on both sides of the unit so it's controllable and if you don't need to switch back and forth between these states, it's not a problem. 2. That said, the unit is not symmetrical. It is thicker on the exhaust side than the intake side so that it might push against or pop out your screen if you use it to draw air out of your room. One star off for this design flaw. 3. It is not too loud, expecially compared with other window fans.
