Worked well for awhile bit the blades began slowing and even needing a push to get started after awhile. But it helped in the summer heat.

Being thinner makes the extenders more stable than wider fans when installing vertically. Super quiet. Would have been just as easy to put a manual switch on the front for reverse as puttiing controls on both sides, silly to do it that way. As far as this being a "whole house fan", I suppose any of them would be if circulation is all your after. As far as cooling, no way! Infact, not sure how they claim 40% more power, seems the same as their 2300, maybe a hair difference. Because of the thinness it will only be a matter of shortening my sill board for security and I won't have to take it out of the window at night (vertical installation), its gonna take a lot more than that for my 2300 fans. I miss the versatlility of a previously owned fan, each fan had its own hi lo med / in or out take + thermostat, And was only $25.00. Don't know when these became so expensive. I'm happy with it considering what's on the market. I wish they made this fan with each one independantly controlled (lo med high & in or out take) with thermostat and remote, for same reasonable price, someone will soon. The black and blue is a much classier appearance. I think you will be happier with this fan than others that also have no features besides low med n high. Oh, and this doesn't really have that, low is 1 fan, med 2, high 3, so no decrease/increase air flow on individual fans, just a matter of how many are running, would be better with lo med high. I gave it a 4 being real happy about being able to leave it in the window at night and still have my security, quiet and classy appearance, in those respects its above the rest.

I'd like this better if you had the option to have the fan reverse directions (to pull or push the air), but it only pulls outside air in, does not reverse and push inside air out.

enough to move the air around from outside on a cool night during the summer.

Quiet and effective. Four stars instead of five because it should have a remote. It is necessary to click through every level just to power off.

Bought this for our sons' room during the summer and so far it's still going strong. Wish the fans were a bit bigger but oh well. It seems pretty good at bring the cold air in on cool days.

Great fan. Moves air nicely and is much quieter the our previous Holmes model. I ordered the simpler one with the manual temperature control wheel. Please and will likely order another one.

Absolutely love this fan. Fits snugly and easily in any window because of the adjustable side panel. Also, nearly silent. Really happy with this fan and can heartily recommend it.
