It was a super low powered fan, I literally returned it that day. It was a waste for nearly $50.

Within a year one blade quit working and within 3 years a second one quit working. Well I guess the second one still works if you don’t mind the loud squealing noise. We have central air so this doesn’t even get used much.

The high speed of the three speeds available on this fan and with THREE fan motors, is not near as strong as my 1980, 6 inch single motor desk fan on low. This fan does not have reverse, you have to take the fan out of the window and turn it around if you want to change directions. Don't waste your money. I ended up spending 10 dollars more and got one a bit bigger with only two fan motors that does do reverse, and it is FABULOUS!! (Genesis Twin Window Fan with 9 Inch Blades, 49.39)

Before ordering this product I carefully read the description and Q&A. I specifically wanted to make sure that this allowed for reversal of airflow direction without having to physically uninstall, flip around, and reinstall in the window. As insane as that sounds, I knew that one similar fan had that design flaw. In reading the Q&A it said to be sure to order the more expensive unit with electronic control because it had the feature of being able to reverse direction simply using the remote. The answer further explained that this ability was in contrast with the slightly cheaper non-electronic version, which required the physical flipping of the unit each time. Based upon that assurance, I ordered that electronic control unit. So given my specific diligence you can't imagine my outrage when I discovered that the delivered unit still required a physical flip and reinstalls toon every time airflow direction was to be switched. Further, because the unit is designed to fit primarily inside the room when air is flowing inward but fit primarily outdoors when flipped around for exhaust, it makes it impossible to fit (in exhaust mode) in Windows that have screens. So even if I was willing to install for exhaust only, which was my primary anticipated use, it would have required me being willing to remove the window screen, thus allowing mosquitos and other bugs to have easy access whenever the fan was turned off, which was 99% of the day. At the end of the day, I hold Amazon fully responsible for this terrible inconvenience (eg repacking and arranging return shipment, an additional week with an operational fan while I identified and purchased from a more honest website) because you obviously should not include a Q&A section if neither you nor the manufacturer is willing to review those answers for accuracy. My first (and last) purchase using Amazon Prime!
