Unlike other non-stick pots and pans which limit stove heat to medium-low, you can use the higher heat. They are solid and seem like normal pans, they retain heat very well, and they are truly non-stick. I often cook chicken or salmon without oil, and the clean up is very easy. No matter what I cook, the clean up is easy. I don't use the dishwasher. I use a sponge and soap and water for quick clean up. . . . However, I wouldn't pay the list price of $480. Wait for them to be on sale. You won't regret it. . . . Also, pots and pans are oven safe to 450⁰, as listed in description, and lids are safe to 400⁰, which is not listed in description.

I’ve been eyeing Calphalon for a while now. A full set is pricey and warrants research. It’s an investment that deserves research. I did mine and saw this set on sale. Buy now! I’m super happy. Well packaged and no issues with delivery. First cook and as stated… non-stick. Was also pleasantly surprised that the handle stayed cool on the stove. Being metal, I thought that would be impossible. Was also concerned about the weight of the pans. Although not featherlight, they aren’t heavy like cast iron. I’m thrilled with my purchase. Oh, and random surprise… they appear to heat up faster. Almost had a pot boil over. That hasn’t happened to me for more years than I car to admit. Spot on! Love love!

Given to my grandson as he relocated to a new state, a new job, and a new apartment. He was absolutely thrilled with this set (since his previous pots and pans were "hand me downs") and continues to sing the praises of his "fabulous" new cookware that makes preparing dinner a breeze rather than drudgery.

Upgraded from an older Calphalon Classic set. The thicker core on the new pieces provides much quicker heating and more uniform heat distribution. Overall, it's a big improvement. The only negative is that the new set doesn't have a 4-qt pot, an ideal size for me when it comes to making a batch of chili, spaghetti sauce, etc. I have to go up the the 8 qt pot for those with the new set, but still a better cooking experience, and I'm very happy with this cookware.

These pans look great, cook great, and clean up is easy. I’m not sure about longevity though as I just goth them.

Very happy with purchase..very sturdy..easy to clean...heavy.. exactly what I wanted)UPDATE:: so I noticed that the water and soap was staying in the rim of ALL the lids after being hand washed!! I couldn't get the water/soap out! I called Calphalon and they are working with me to resolve this issue... which I am surprised..so used to being ignored about complaints..so we will see how the replacement performs.Update! Well they really did send me a new set....so far they seem ok)
