Horrible

This set is horrible. I had a regular Calphalon set that I used for 10 years. I decided to upgrade to this hard anodized set since they were supposed to be even better and more durable. Well not the case. Within 6 months the bottom of the pans started peeling off. I included a picture to show the bottom, and this happened on 2 of the 4 pans. I wash them all by hand too, and take good care of them. I'm really dissapointed that I paid that much money for such poor quality. I wish I had just kept my old set! Very irritating, dissapointing, and a waste of money for a product I thought was going to be spectacular.

Poor Quality

Do not buy this set! Not worth it. The pans started to chip after 5 weeks of mild use.

Waste of money

A few of the pots/pans had uneven bottoms, which is bad. What's worse is that the lids allow for water to seep in. You can hear the dirty water in the lid sloshing around after you wash it. ---But you can't get it out. When you go to use the pot again,, there is a quarter sized bead of water in bottom ...from lid. Very unsanitary. Who could ket a design flaw like this get through??? Waste of money. Calphalon is now a POS brand to me. I thought it was good. No longer in my consideration set.. Will need to look elsewhere.

DON'T BUY THESE

After decades of satisfaction with Calphalon, I now find that the quality of this high-end (and high-priced) version is vastly inferior to previous less-expensive versions. The 10" pan requires a larger burner size (glass-top electric stove) than its size, or (for example) the pancake gets half-cooked. One pot and one 12" pan had a lump in the inside finish. Despite these obvious defects, Calphalon will only honor their warranty if the customer pays what would be a very high price (because of the weight of the product + sturdy box, let alone buying the box) to ship it back to them. Apparently, they don't really want to convenience their customers (despite apologizing for "any inconvenience"), or even really satisfy them! Save yourself the hassle and choose a different brand.

Lids hold water

I have had Calphalon pots and pans for years and loved them, but they needed to be replaced. I purchased this set and four out of the five lids allowed water to seep in between the glass and the seal that holds the glass in place. You end up having water left in the lids that you cannot get out and will not evaporate. I read about this in another review but was hoping, perhaps that was just a flawed set. Unfortunately, it is a design flaw, and I had to return them.

So disappointed

The lids are horrible! Water and grease from anything that you're cooking in a pot or pan leeches underneath the glass under the seal and you can't wash it out. I'm past the return window and I don't want to cook with them because the old food and old dishwater steams out of the lid and into what I'm cooking while simultaneously pulling back in what I'm cooking under the glass seal. It's gross.
