Cantilever floor lamp
I liked the item in many ways - style, metal finish used, stability of floor base, and ease of assembly. I was disappointed when I figured out the at the height it is, I end up seeing the bulb (too bright when sitting with it) and while you can adjust the arm if you do that enough to stop the visibility of the bulb and that glare, the lamp is in a really odd position that I wouldn't want to leave it in for aesthetics with the chair, table etc. (that is, the arm the lamp head and bulb are on is highly diagonal downward). I wish there were a way to take out one of the segments of the pole so the lamp head and bulb were in a good position to not be seen and the shape of the lamp were still good (with the arm still diagonal and upward as in the item photo).

The brass finish is nice, but the construction is as expected for a cheap lamp. The main rod is broken up into pieces that slide into one another and mine has a slight curve to it (not straight). I have to position it in a particular way so you can’t see the curve. Also the “adjustable” joint is not smooth or really even adjustable.

It’s a fairly nice looking lamp but a little tippy. The lamp adjusts but not enough that it doesn’t feel like the lightbulb is shining straight in your face like a spotlight. Going to keep it because it’s good looking but wish the design team at Target would work on purchasing items that take care of the balance issues in this cantilever style floor lamp and table lamp.

Warning: the cylindrical shade portion of lamp along with the switch heats up to extreme temps. You must use an oven mitt or other form of protection to turn it off; you can also just unplug it. Aesthetically, its a gorgeous lamp! Love it.

I love the look of this lamp, and the price seemed fair. My issue isn't the style so much as the function. Because the weight is unbalanced, the lamp was crooked when I set it up. It took some effort to find something to wedge under the base to offset the weight difference. It ended up looking okay, but I hate having to jury-rig something brand new.

It didn't work and leaned once put together so we returned. Instead of trying another one we just bought a different lamp. It's cute though.

This lamp looks nice overall, but it does have a lean to it. In addition, because of the metal cover, the light is very directional and doesn't brighten the room all that much.

This is a great-looking lamp but it's flimsy. I placed cardboard underneath part of the base to keep the lamp even on carpet.

THis lamp was supposed to be great, and it looked amazing and durable and beautiful. But then we put it together and lo and behold the lamp was topheavy and keeps leaning to one side or the other........ we had to put weights on the bottom of it to keep it standing upright. definitely something you wouldn't know about from the pictures.

Lamp had scratches upon opening the box. I really need a lamp so I'm just going to keep it. Pretty disappointed.
