Looks nice but not steady. The post the screws into the base does not screw in tight and the base is too light for the rest of the lamp. 1 star. Has not fallen over despite this so 2 stars. My just be the one I bought or may be an overall design flaw. As expected, the lamp gets very hot when on.

Really easy to build and it looks cute in person. The only reason I am giving it two stars is because the head of the lamp is too heavy and won’t stay up like in the picture.

Not sure if I put it together wrong or what but after 6 months it wouldn’t stay up anymore and just hung low so I had to steady it against a wall. Ordering it again and hoping for better results this time

We loved this lamp! It is cute and functional and looks exactly like the picture! However after a few months it no longer works! We have tried everything (different outlets, light bulbs etc.) but we think something happened to the wiring and we won't be able to fix it. We are so disappointed!

We got this lamp because it was so inexpensive. Within the first ten minutes of setting it up, the switch broke. An easy enough fix, we got a $5 replacement at the hardware store and swapped out the switch in about twenty minutes. After trying to pull the wire back through the pole (like you do in the initial set up), the wire snapped in two and now needs to be fixed. Another easy fix, but neither one shouldn't be necessary on a brand-new lamp. Two stars because it gave us something to do during COVID quarantine. Only get this lamp if you're bored and want to learn simple electrical repairs.

It looks good and the price is right, but unlike the classics it's modeled on, the head doesn't swivel in more than one direction - up. You'll have to mess with the arm and angle if down and low if you want the light pointing at what you're reading and not in your face.

Love the modern minimal look but very bad construction. The arm broke and there is no way to fix it. Have tried taking it apart and moving around the wire, reversing the direction, tc... it just won't stay up.

This brass lamp is lovely-looking and turns on, so I'm giving it 2 stars for that. BUT the parts are cheap and the design is top-heavy, so in reality it's more of a "Leaning Tower of Lamp." I shouldn't be surprised that a $40 lamp would be so poorly fabricated. The stem of the lamp doesn't fully connect to the base no matter how many times I tried to tighten it, so the weight of the top of the lamp causes it to list forward. I just don't have the bandwidth deal with returning it, so I'm putting it in my studio where I can use a piece of furniture and a strap to support the lamp over my desk. Better luck next time, I guess?
