Relief!

I got a "new" car a few months ago and immediately started having back, hip, and worst of all tailbone pain. I travel for work and average about 20-25 hours in the car a week. When your tailbone hurts because there is no padding in your car seat, it makes for quite a miserable time. I happened upon this foam seat and have decided I will never be without it in my car. It is made of a very dense foam so it won't smash into nothing when you sit on it for a few minutes. I am sure over time it will compress but I expect that. This is not a pillow. It is not soft like a pillow but is made of supportive foam. When I sit on it, it is still about 1 and 1/2 to 2 inches thick. Yes, your bum will still get tired of sitting but I am okay with that as long as I am not in any pain! The one thing I really didn't think about was that I was going to set up much higher in my car seat. It isn't a problem but something to keep in mind if you are very tall and already at the ceiling in your car. It does slide around a bit but it is quite wide so it can't go too far. I like the fact that I can wash it because I eat in the car when I am traveling and will eventually spill something on it. It does take some getting used to with positioning yourself to make sure you tailbone is at the cutout. The best part is no more back pain, hip pain, and best of all no tailbone pain! I have been in the car off an on for 7 hours today (3 hours of that in a row) and honestly no pain. I am truly amazed. I know it is expensive, but it is worth the money to me not to be in pain anymore. I was going to have to go see a chiropractor and have been using my tens unit several times a week. This has made a huge difference. Thank you so much for such a wonderful product. Pros: It works! Doesn't condense into nothing Washable cover Quite wide but still lightweight Cut out for your tailbone Cons: Price

Cross-country butt pad, love it

I used this when I drove cross country (from Virginia to California), and it made an incredible difference! I've done this trip once before, and I did not have this the last time. I remember my butt was numb and my tailbone was killing me by the end. No such issues with this pad. Of course, there was a little discomfort on the last day, but I feel like when you drive THAT long, you should just expect a little pain. It doesn't seem to have lost it squishiness or shape. I read some reviews where people said that the front of the pad dug into the backs of their thighs and was painful. I did not have this issue. Bear in mind that I am not an especially large person, however. Overweight, sure, but not especially large. The only negative I experienced is one that I feel you'd get with any standalone pad...positioning. It was sometimes difficult to get it in just the right spot and then get in the car. Of course it moves around, but that is obviously not a defect of the product and just the nature of the beast. Anyway, loved it, had no issues with it, still keep it in my car for longer trips.

Great post surgical relief and comfort!

I purchased this cushion when I came home to continue my recovery from hip surgery because after sitting any length of time in my desk chair, I was having a great deal of pain in my hip and lower back and the desk chair was too low to get up from without aggravating my quad area and knee which had also been weakened by the surgery. I have tried other cushions which were too soft and did not give me support where need. This cushion is very firm, helping me to sit higher in the chair, which is perfect for me. It has a soft velor type cover which is very comfortable with my clothing, meaning I can shift easlily if needed. I found that i must shift occasionally to alleviate certain pressure zones. The firmness helps support both hips, keeping pressure off my lower back and tailbone. My lower legs, ankles and feet often swell when I've been sitting a long time but since using the cushion I've noticed less swelling and great comfort where the back of my legs hit the edge of the seat. The cushion gently slopes underneath my legs and protects them from the harder edge of the desk chair. I am very happy with this cushion and would recommend purchase if you have similar ailments to mine.

Boosted

Working from home during the pandemic, I was having my wrists feel almost numb sometimes because my seat was a little too low. And the pretty view out the window past my desk is much nicer if I'm like an inch taller and can see the ground outside. So this gives me that boost. The comfort is an added bonus. I've found I'm willing to stay at my desk longer and get more done with my wrists feeling better and my bum supported, so I think this is money well spent!

We now own 5 of these...

The title probably says it all, but just in case, we love these! We have them on many chairs throughout the house, and we have bought them for friends who tried them at our house and wanted them for their own houses. While it has been the older people who have loved them most, people of all ages have loved them because they offer support to those who have arthritis as well as those who have significant back issues. We have had some for a number of years and they have held up very well, despite people of all sizes using them.

My doctor loved it!

I have had several of these for many years. They give me height and support in giant recliners which I need for recovery from orthopedic issues. I just ordered 2 more to enable me to use my walker as a seat and I leave them in many rooms. The grips on the bottom are excellent and help a lot with stability. Thank you for that great addition.

Aylio seat cushion

I am 6 feet tall with long legs so I dread traveling by air in a standard seat. We traveled 8 hours from the US to Europe and the seats were standard economy seats, the same as a domestic flight. My tail bone was sore for three days after each leg of the trip. I researched seat cushions after seeing several other passengers with them and this item had the best reviews. I bought ONE for myself as my wife is short and had never complained about the seats. When this arrived, she promptly commandeered it so I had to order another for myself. Well, I can tell you that after an 11 hour Europaen trip, this cushion made all the difference in the world. So for us, they work well.

Has really helped temporarily wheelchair bound relative

This cushion had been great for a relative having to undergo extensive rehab and temporarily wheelchair bound. She was two months in bed and had basically zero core strength. The cushion that was in her wheelchair at rehab was new and seemed well formed but it was very uncomfortable. This cushion has been fantastic for her. The cut out at the back really does take allot of pressure off of her so she is able to sit in the chair for longer periods while she is building up her core strength. I do wish they sold replacement covers and moisture proof covers. The cover has been washed many times and has held up fine. I also had to wash the cushion itself one time. It held up well but I could see a tiny bit of breakdown in the fused cushion seems from this. Hopefully we won't have to wash the cushion again.

It's been 2 weeks and 94 year old no longer complaining about tailbone/back hurting

I bought this cushion since it was developed by an occupational therapist. My mother had a bed sore just above her tailbone due to shearing. She was complaining about her tailbone and hip hurting while in her recliner. It has been two weeks and her bed sore is healing (has honey patches on it but pressure is off. No shearing from slipping). Her tailbone doesn't have any pressure now and her hips are supported. Thank you so much for your product. I had a question and MAX responded immediately. I will write another review in a few months about the duration of the product. So far ....awesome
