Honestly, I wanted to be able to have this keep the downstairs in my house passingly clean -- but the glitches are just too bad to recommend this still. I used it for a few weeks, and it never finished a single job (the word it uses for a vacuuming session) without being stuck. I don't have a complicated situation either -- it would often be stuck for issues that Roomba has said it's not bad at anymore. For example, it would regularly get stuck at the edge of a rug (a pretty low pile rug) on the hardwood because it thought it was next to a cliff. Similarly, it thought there was a cliff every time it came to my dining room chairs, which have 3/4" on the floor connecting the legs. It also couldn't fit under several pieces of furniture (e.g., the couch, a chair, a cabinet), but would run itself into the gap until it was wedged. I could maybe have fixed this by blocking the edges of the underside of all my furniture, but paying almost $300 for a vacuum requires tacky fixes to everything in your house seems like a pretty terrible purchase. And, the problems with it thinking there were "cliffs" on really easily navigated, low rug edges -- and literally not once being able to finish a job -- made this much more of a pain than just vacuuming myself. Honestly, unless you have a gymnasium with no furniture for a house, wait until Roomba's sensors and AI catch up to the price tag. Hard pass, and I had to return this.

Well. This isn't what the commercials promise, for sure. This thing goes everywhere except where it needs to. It certainly doesn't cover a room well, ans we cannot get it to go home without picking it up and putting it in front of the base. Not happy.

Its so stinky cute.. I want to keep it soo bad.. but the suction is horrible and it doesn't do from my hardwood to my area rug which the not that high.. i spent more time walking with it and making sure it went the right way.. If Irobot can get the suction together and adjustments for transition with floor materials.. then this would be perfect.. I DO NOT WANT TO TAKE IT BACK.. but I have no choice..UGH!!

It seem to be fine the first day, didn’t really have a pattern rhyme or reason, and the second day it was just doing circles and not going anywhere From it’s base. Returned it, trying the i4 next

wanted to wait a year before a review.. Works but not very well. It does not work well with multi surfaces. If purchasing remember to also purchase the room guides so it doesn't roam from room to room and never touched a thing ...uugh.

I wanted to love this! But the reality is that it just didn’t work well in our home. Let me say that the vacuuming ability itself is good, and the tray is easy to empty. For us though, it really wasn’t helpful in the end. Firstly, the amount of space you need to dock it was hard for us to find. Most of our outlets are behind furniture, and we just don’t have a lot of open wall space. We had to dock it in our entryway, which wasn’t ideal. Second, the pattern it moves in just seems too haphazard. We ran it every day for over a week and it didn’t improve much or “learn” our house layout. It kept doing the same room over and over while entirely missing other areas. It also got stuck several times, and was too large too fit between/under our kitchen chairs. It also couldn’t do our dining room because it’s a bit of a tight space. All of this meant that I was following it around the house to move furniture, block it from going it into the dining room, or move the vacuum entirely to areas it wasn’t going. I think for this to work well, you need a much more open concept layout. It just didn’t work well for us, sadly.

The roomba has pieces that have already broken just after 2 months. It’s a miracle if it actually completes a job. Almost every day I have to find it stuck, help it find the dock, etc. I had higher expectations for a roomba and this has not met them at all. I give it a 2 star because it does pick up dirt. I just need it to be able to complete a job and function as it was designed to.

The saying, "you get what you pay for," certainly fits with this vacuum. I bought this as my entry level and first robot vacuum. It looks like I should've started at the higher end and paid more money. This vacuum is very loud. It moves end tables, a coffee table and chairs. Yes, only slightly but enough to have to go back and put everything in place. The vacuum gets stuck between chair and table legs. It does a good job picking up cat hair and cleaning most of the floor, but the anxiety it causes isn't worth it.

SO loud!! I don’t think I can keep it, I’ve owned another brand and it definitely wasn’t this loud. And when I choose the “return home” option...it continues on and runs until the battery runs out without docking itself.

I’ve had this iRobot for over a year now and I can say it hasn’t been with it for me. The time spent moving cords out of the way, helping the unit get unstuck from rugs, kitchen toe kick areas, etc. and cleaning the unit is more than it would take me to just vacuum the floor myself. We have 2 dogs that shed and all the moving parts regularly get clogged with hair. It’s just not with the hassle and the price.
