I have received it yesterday & purchased Brenzomatic butane gas today. I filled the gas as picture D on the box. The gas seemed got inside (the handle of the torch felt cold), then I followed the picture B on the box, the torch did not light up. I have tried many times, it did not light up. The ignition did not work. It's a bad unit & waste a bottle of butane gas.Update the above review: Inpher, thanks for the replacement of torch that I received yesterday. I filled butane gas into the torch, waited one or two min., then pushed ignition button, the torch lighted up right away. Every thing went so easy & smoothly. GOOD SERVICE & GOOD QUALITY TORCH, So I changed it to 5 stars.

item was awesome. heated up my half & half in my 12oz Frothing Pitcher ( 12 Oz Stainless Steel Frothing Pitcher Sold by: Amazon Pickup Points LLC ) to 125 degrees F ( Taylor Commercial Waterproof Digital Cooking Thermometer ) in less that 3 minutes. put my battery operated Bonsenkitchen Handheld Milk Frother in the heated cream and had the absolute best latte ever in 5 minutes...forget Starbucks!! took about 3 seconds to fill the torch with Butane. a can of 92 refills of Ronson butane at Walmart for $4.40. this whole set up at Amazon was $35.00 with free delivery

I really like this micro torch. It worked right out of the box! I like that it has enough of an adjustment range to be very useful for my purpose’s, which are mostly mechanical in nature (and maybe even toast a marshmallow every now and then).So far I have used it to solder some electrical connectors and then to heat-shrink the electrical insulation, but I plan on using it to break the air bubbles from the surface of some polyester resin I’ll be casting..... I can see where his little torch is going to come in very handy or lots of things requiring precise heat.

So this came new, in a package, with instructions. The seller even emailed me after I bought it to make sure it worked and provided a link for video instructions on use. I haven't really used a torch unsupervised before (haha) and I was a little nervous about filling and using it. But it was easy to fill. The safety lock works well, it lights every time, with a steady controllable flame. I've only been using it for about a week, and cannot speak to it's longevity, but hey, for the price, I would say it's 100% worth buying. Two thumbs up!

UPDATE: 4½ years in and this torch is still performing perfectly. You still can't go wrong with this torch.I paid just shy of $14 for this culinary torch and I couldn't be happier with it. I filled it with butane two months ago and despite using it to light charcoal for incense almost daily, I have not had to refill it. It lights every single time and I have never felt like it might malfunction. It's just a very solid torch. Well worth the money. This is the one you want. Stop buying disposable torches.

This is very light and although the close on locking has to be pushed in (saftey first) it flames low to high, and has a very strong output. Make sure you purge the air before filling for the first time, or it will spit butane back out at you. All the tools you will need are included. Great purchase

We were impressed with this nice, little culinary torch! The uses in our kitchen surpassed what we originally thought it could do. We did use it for our Crème Brulee! We also used this for igniting our BBQ. I was delighted to see other suggestions for crafting. The flame is easy to adjust and we found it easy to lock as well. Overall, it is a nice addition to our home.

This little torch far exceeded my expectations for such a low price. Tipped it over and filled it up in about 10-12 seconds and used it to sear some ribs that I cooked in the oven and it worked great. Next came the crème brûlée - again, it worked incredibly! It caramelized the sugar beautifully. I hope it lasts a long time and doesn't give me a reason to change my rating, but so far, I'm extremely pleased with this purchase and the value for very little spent. A great performing little torch.

I am an art teacher and I give workshops on Paint Pouring. I have several of these torches in different brands. So far these two are the best by far. They are much easier to light and fill, and my students have no problem figuring out how to use them which saves me time. I have to stop and show the students how to operate the other two brands I have. If any wear out in the future, this will be the brand I will purchase, use and recommend to others!

While I understand this is offered as a Culinary tool, it IS a miniature Blow torch. I purchased this tool to use for shrink-tube application, and it works great! I also purchased the Zippo 2.75oz Butane Fuel. It has a long, filler stem, that fills the torch, perfectly! As I also love to cook, it will get use for cooking, as well! If you follow the provided information for use, you shouldn't have any problems using this tool. Very pleased with this purchase!
