The device itself is easy to put together and looks nice but as soon as you download the app the problems start. Registering wastes time and the app is really buggy and not managed to actually use it properly yet, just go through the same setup pages before it connects and then crashes. Whilst they list compatible devices, I would recommend you only buy this if you have the very latest devices and check the app first. Very frustrating.

In theory, this would be an interesting kit for a young child just getting into coding. It has some serious issues though. Forget whatever tablets you read it worked with. We couldn’t get it to download the tablet version from the App Store no matter what we tried. Seems to be a reoccurring glitch there. We were able to download the app onto our desktop which is good. Unfortunately, we specifically bought it to work with our child’s tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab A) or even one of our iPads and none of those would download the software either.

I’m a software developer and got this for my daughter who is ten. I was disappointed in this item because I don’t think it makes programming accessible. It uses developer terms instead of bringing things to the level of a kid. My daughter can follow the on screen instructions pretty well but it just doesn’t bring programming to a kid level that makes it fun to use. My daughter literally said it was boring and I totally concur with that assessment. It should be more interactive and most importantly more intuitive so that kids can get interested and start to explore. I feel like they wanted to release this near Christmas and rushed it out the door to make money. Just disappointing and not fun.

If you are on Android, sorry you are not supported. Even on the other ecosystems, you need the very latest devices. None of the 6 devices I had at home were compatible, I had to return it.

This is way too complicated for a six year old. The age says did and older. I bought it for my daughter who is six and she had no idea how to use it. It took me awhile to figure it out and the sensors were terrible at picking up movement. I returned it.

Way harder to use than implied especially on a tablet. Everything is about taking hours to build their demo which gets boring fast. They need some more quick/fun activities. Returned it asap.

Putting it together was easy and it works well with the lights when we put our hands over it. Unfortunately, we can't use the software to code anything because there isn't an app available for our Mac.

Bought for our daughter thinking it would be very cool for her, but she was very unimpressed. The motion detector is spotty and doesn't always pick up the motions, which leads to her getting very frustrated. Overall, she hasn't picked it up much to use.

The actual kit is pretty easy to assemble and looks cool, my kid was excited at first. But the app constantly crashes or freezes, making it extremely frustrating for a 6yo and the kit becomes useless. After just one week, my kid lost interest and I realize this was a total waste of my money.

I got this for my 6 year old daughter's birthday. I thought it wasn't too hard for her to play with but I was wrong. It was hard for adults too. The instructions are not good enough to understand. Very confusing! I felt tired sitting next to my kid to figure out how it works for a long time. The sensor couldn't sense your motion if you move too fast or out of the range. I would not suggest buying this toy if your kid doesn't have patience.
