The filter was easy to change. That was great, but the water that comes out of the dispenser smells like bleach or what ever they use. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

As a general check up of our home water supply, we submitted 2 water samples for lab tests. One sample was directly from our kitchen tap and the other was from the refrigerator water dispenser with an EveryDrop Filter 3 installed (couple months old). Obviously, we expected better results from the filtered water compared to the direct tap water but lab results were mixed. 2 labs were used, both were EPA certified: 1 lab ran tests on contaminant levels while the other lab tested for bacteria in the water. The results were mixed. Without going into gory details, here are the highlights: CONTAMINANT TEST RESULTS: Much Lower in Filter water: (Good!) Aluminum Boron Copper Iron Strontium Similar in Both water samples: (OK. EveryDrop doesn't claim to reduce these) Calcium Conductivity Hardness as CaCO3 Silica Silicon Sodium TDS Chloride Fluoride Sulfate Bicarbonate Higher in Filtered water: (Not so good.) Nitrite Magnesium TURBIDITY Comparison: (a bit disappointing and worrisome about filter quality control) Tap Water Turbidity: 3.32 NTU EveryDrop Filtered Turbidity: 2.50 NTU (Even though 2.5 NTU is below the acceptable limit of 5.0 NTU, EveryDrop Certification claims 0.5 NTU post filter and so this is much higher than expected.) BACTERIA TEST RESULTS: TAP: HPC: 1 CFU/mL, Total Coliform: < 1 MPN/100mL, E.coli: < 1 MPN/100mL FILTER: HPC: 20 CFU/mL, Total Coliform: < 1 MPN/100mL, E.coli: < 1 MPN/100mL What doe it mean?: - Our TAP water supply is very clean in terms of bacteria. - EveryDrop Filter water had 20X value for HPC (Heterotrophic Plate Count) as compared to our unfiltered tap water. It turns out HPC of 20 CFU/mL is still way under the EPA limit of 500, but we have to ask: where is the added organisms coming from? Perhaps, the filtering material isn't as sterile as one would like? In summary: we are giving the filter 2 stars because while the water tastes fine, the mixed test results make us wonder how good is the quality control of EveryDrop filters.

this is the third filter I purchased fr home depot-previous 2 did not last beyond 3 months-foul taste in water after 3 months

Since we changed to EveryDrop filters the flow is slow. It’s no longer convenient to use the i refrigerator water dispenser. Very disappointed. I’ve read reviews and many others are having this problem. Wish this could be fixed. I never had this issue with PUR filters [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

3rd time not the charm. Have purchased this filter before, and it has been great. Our most recent purchase clogged after about 2 days of use and had to be replaced.

After 3 weeks of using this filter, the water started to come out of the refrigerator really slow. We thought it might have just been a defective filter so we bought another and have had the same results. Takes for ever to fill a glass not to mention a coffee maker. On a positive note, the filter is easy to change and the water is definitely filtered.

I think its a great subscription. However I'm not a fan of not being able to adjust the frequency at which I need the filter. its odd to have a subscription where you don't allow people to have control over the frequency. I also spent 30 mins trying to call them and chat with someone just to have no solution.

This filter is not the same quality as the previous ones - not sure what has changed but within weeks the flow rate started to diminish to the point that by the recommended replacement time, our water dispenser has basically become unusable. We are a 2 person household on a top-notch municipal water supply so water quality or excessive usage is definitely not a contributing factor. We will give the subscription service one more try and see if the issue continues with our next filter.

Replaced filter in Sept 2022 and filter leaked immediately. Company replaced (no cost) but new filter failed within 2 months with filtered water having a dirty taste

I REMEMBER THAT I HAVNT PLACED ANY AUTO SUPPLY FOR THIS FILTER ORDER. IN ANY CASE DO NOT PLACE ANY SUPPLY SINCE I HAVE DISCARDED THE WHIRLPOOL FRIDEGE ITSELF. APPRECIATE WOULD GE T BACK THE FILTER IF IT S ABOUT TO BE DELIVERED AND REFUD THE AMOUNT ALREADY CHARGED TO MY BNAK A/C
