I like it but it can improve on it's breathability. It does what it supposed to do, covers your face. Heat gets lessened but I feel a little bit short of breath when I'm on it. That's only my gripe about it but it's significant enough that I have to take off 2 stars.

Great idea. Hat will be ok for traveling in the wind on the boat. Great for the price. In back of the hat is a cord for adjusting hat size...nice. Love the front face flap. It can be removed when not needed. This is NOT the hat you want for looks. If you need one for looks then you might as well buy the Tilley hat ( but MUCH more expensive). Another reviewer said the flaps will blow off in the wind because the clamps are not completely secure. If this becomes a problem, I will fix them so they won't blow off.

El material de tela está muy bien se siente fresco, pero el aditamento para ajustar la parte que cuelga de atrás es como plástico ojalá q dure mucho tiempo! Y la parte de enfrente simplemente decidió no usarla, le queda enmedio de sus ojos. El lugar dnd se ajusta a la otra está mal diseñado xq queda demasiado arriba, en mi está bien pero en el q es hombre definitivamente no le sirve!

This hat has a mesh area around the sides of the top of the head which allow sun to hit your head. So it really fails protecting one from the sun in that area. And the detachable face shield is really tight. I would be better if the flap that covers the neck were not so tight and did a better job of covering the lower front of the neck, and the face shield were not so tight and were more adjustable.

I live in TX and wearing this hat does help with blocking some of the sun. However, I used it during a 2 hours of roof repair, my face and head still feel a little burned after first 20 mins, though it is hot in TX but I dont think this hat can perform what it is described in terms of sun blocking.

Initially I was going to return the item, because the face mask part is too large for me and falls below the nose, even though I adjusted it. However, I decided to keep it and just remove the face mask, as I like the lightweight material and the protection afforded by the side and back flaps. I live in the desert and I think the hat will not cause me to sweat as much as my other hats because it is so lightweight. I will use it with my regular facemask.

Loved the coverage it provided. But it was too small. Not a one-size fits all as advertised. With the face and neck covers attached, it is too tight. I found my nose compressed and temples had pressure where the face cover attach. My wife loves to wear it though. Guess Ill have to find something else as this didnt have a larger size.

I like the idea, but prefer the clothes cover the back-n-side could be bigger. I've very small face/head, but it only cover less than 1/3 of my face upper part and the lower part only barely covers any of the face. (It's design fault.. The piece should hang straight to cover the face not slide to the back and not cover the bottom part to cover face and neck.) It will require snapping the 2 buttons of the piece together to actual cover 1/3 the face and the neck, but it will make it really hot. I prefer let the mouth/front cover hanging and let the back-n-side piece hanging to leave some space (without feeling suffocated. However, since the back-n-side piece is too small, not wide enough it couldn't cover even 1/3 of the side of the face. Sigh....
