Unfortunately, there is a chemical in the hat that caused a stain on my skin. I have been to two dermatologists who finally figured out this was a reaction to a chemical in the hat. I have been using the hat for a couple of months and unfortunately continuos contact with my skin has created the stain. Now I have to pay for IpL lazer to treat the area of my skin.

After receiving this very thin hat, I had to look elsewhere for a much better quality hat. I must keep my face out of the sun and thought this would be the answer....wrong.

Although this product is exactly what I wanted to help protect from the Sun quality of it being made as poor stitching around the rim of the hat is not complete Clips to the neck sun protector not line up so sit crooked don't know if I would buy this product again from this manufacturer

I can't imagine being charged more than 50 cents for this garbage hat. A paper bag would work better, and probably be more durable in the ocean, sense that's what I bought this hat for. I would strongly recommend not buying this product, or from the Chinese company that made it. The face and neck covers both ripped off the very first time I tried it on. I'm gonna sow it back together and use it because I need it tomorrow. But after that, its going in the trash, and I'll shop for a more quality one next time. This product would have got 0 stars if that was an option.

Wore the hat a couple of times and got sunburned on top of head. Brim is nice and think and blocks sun. The crown is thin nylon that can be seen through. It allows sun to pass through. I guess they assume everyone has hair. However, I am bald and got burned.

I very much liked the light-weight design and look of the product but not the sun protection capability. In fact, the sun protection ability of this product is nearly nonexistent. Trust me on this one, I work outdoors in the intense south Florida sun nearly every day of the week and I would certainly know about sun protection. The design of this "fishing cap" is flimsy and of poor construction and will not hold up to repeated use but it's certainly very comfortable to wear!

This hat was ordered to replace a 30+ year old Soulumbra (spelling)? Hat. This hat wasn’t made for its purposes the old hat was made of higher quality material. The old hat’s material is still as soft as a baby’s bottom. We’re sending it back. The company that made the hat essentially created the original apt hat and clothing, After 30+ years of wearing and washing this hat beats everything out there

Don't waste your hard-earned cash. The piece of fabric that is supposed to cover the wearer's face is connected to the hat in such a manner that it rests directly in the bottom eyelashes. If there is slightest breeze, it flies up in the face. It needed to simply have some sort of weight sewn into the hemline in order to keep it from flying up in the face. The material is cheap polyester, which to my knowledge is not a sunshield, nor is it a comfort to wear in the sun. The face piece should have been attached using a strip of velcro so that the WEARER could determine at what height the face piece should be worn for their particular face. It is not a one-size-fits-most situation when the material is resting on your eyelash line or flying up to your forehead.

DO NOT BUY! Ad claims it is "sunscreen," over 50. BUT THERE IS NO PROTECTION OF YOUR WHOLE FACE! MESH OVER FACE LETS FULL SUN THROUGH TO YOUR SKIN! The ad claims it covers your jaw and neck. But see comparison of ad photos and real life photos: There is a HUGE GAP between the face panel and side/back panels. That exposes your whole neck and upper chest and jaw to harmful sun. You are outside and rely on this hat, but can expose you to cancer causing UV sun rays! This hat with cape around the shoulders and face mask is supposed to shield you from sun's UV rays. But it has big gaps between the face mask and the shoulder "cape" that let the sun BURN your neck and temples/ side of your eyes! Not usable, I will return it. It is dangerous to rely on this.
