I bought it to work outside and protect me from the sun. Too hot and retains NO sweat. Other than this, it does what it is supposed to.

The hat and veil for the sides and back of your neck are of decent quality. The face veil is terribly designed. The face veil attaches to the sweatband using a short piece of Velcro. It is barely adjustable and because of the location of the Velcro strip, irritates your head.

The rim of the hat is smaller than I have expected. Therefore, eyes get direct sun light easily. I wish the rim can get bigger. Otherwise, the hat fits well.

Really wanted a hat like this for sun and the mask addition. But its definitely a size L/XL If you wear a M or smaller, even a small L, this is super big. So basically a circumference of 23.5 or smaller this won't fit.

I need more protection on my face and neck. The flap only reaches up to the corner of your eye and lifts up so your neck is exposed. Ended up removing the flap and sewing onto a hat I already had.

I’m giving this 3 star because I ordered two of them and one of them has a broken piece right out of the package. It is one of three crucial small retaining clip that holds the neck protector to the hat. I will rig up a ring for now but not happy how weak of plastic the black retaining clips are.

Everything is great about it, except for the top portion. i had expected it to hold its shape a bit more. The cloth or whatever it is covering the head portion is really thin; that could be good or bad in each case. I prefer to have the top have a much more hold to a designed shape already.

Returned the item as it was smaller than my head requires. It was a quality hat, it just didn’t fit.

While the hat fits well, the face mask part falls almost straight down, as though the wearer could only fit it if there were no nose. Also, it falls just to the chin, instead of extending down enough to really keep out May flies and the like. For the price, it works well as a fishing hat, but not for the purpose of blocking any insects.

The hat has everything except a surround mosquito net. Very true to the ad pics, straight seams no extra material or slop you see on some outdoor gear. My head is size 8 to 8 1/4 and it looks like thats not an "all size" so if you aren't a buckethead like me you will probably enjoy this boonie hat. Not me , though.
