Love the Hat. It has so many useful features, full sun protection. I have been ordering several of your products & have been satisfied with all of them. Your prices are great with prompt delivery. You have become my go to on line store.

I haven't wore it yet but I love it. It protects your face head and neck.

I really like this (light gray) hat- the band is adjustable with an elastic locking slide tab at the back, and there’s a tie for under the shin with the same slide lock. The flaps remove pretty easily (there’s hooks rather than snaps in some places- probably so it hangs better?) —It’s light weight and breathable; I’m female with a regular size head (most Womens hats fit me) and a full head of hair (the hat is tall enough to fully cover the tips of my ears and there’s extra width space to accommodate a man’s head- before i adjust the band for my smaller female head) but if you are bald- the mesh sections probably will not give you adequate sun coverage -so wearing a bandana or other head covering or sunscreen protection under the hat is recommended in my opinion (there seems to be plenty of room to add a liner even for the average man’s size head). But for me I’m glad for the mesh so that it’s cooler since I’m in hot Texas. The two sections of flaps sit under the brim and hang nicely, and can easily be removed for washing. —Washing: I’m going to wash this hat by hand (so the brim stays flat) but if it’s put in a net bag- it might be ok to put it in the washer? (But it will not last as long I don’t think- for any hat to be washed in a washer). I wouldn’t wash it in the machine without a net bag because of all the strings that can get tangled and then ripped off.

I have an extremely similar North Face hat without the neck and face protection, and it cost 25% more, so I'm happy to see that the quality of this hat seems to be just as good as that one. They are so similar that I wouldn't be surprised if they were made in the same factory and merely had different logos sewn onto the front. The reason I wanted a new hat, is because the old one was a bit smaller and wasn't providing enough protection for my neck, and the brim was getting floppy, especially in humid weather. I expect the brim of this new hat to suffer the same fate as it gets older -- it seems to be the same material and construction. The brim ranges from 3" to 3 1/4" in width. The diameter of the part your head fits into is 7 1/2", and there is an elastic drawstring to make it smaller as needed. The whole thing is a slight oval shape: 13.5" side-to-side, and 14.5" front-to-back. The material over your head -- that is, the material that is not the brim -- is a very light nylon and nylon mesh. This is good for me, because it will feel cooler than a thick hat, and it means I can stuff this in a bag and it will pack flat without any damage.

Fantastic hat with many options for working in the sun. - 2 removable flaps for UVA/AVB protection -- 1 flap covers the back of your neck/head -- 1 flap covers your face/neck - The hat itself provides great protection from the sun Note: I learned the hard way during my recent annual doctor's check-up. The doc didn't like the light brown spot under my eye (looked like an age spot to me). It turned out to be melanoma and I had to go through the Mohs procedure, along with many stitches on my face--still recovering! I work outside a lot and didn't always wear a hat or sunscreen. I now wear sunscreen and this hat, with flaps (depending on what I'm doing and how long I'll be in the sun).

I am going to be using this a lot for fishing and purchased this hat for sun protection (and lure storage) primarily. The hat arrived the very next day in the early evening, as promised, and I was pleased with the packing and contents within. This hat has a very lightweight construction, the closest fabric that I can compare it to might be a gym bag or drawstring bag of sorts; along with mesh for added breathability. My head is on the larger side, so I was pleased when I tried it on and found that it fit snugly, but didn’t feel uncomfortable. Both the neck flap and face flap can be removed easily by simply unfastening the snap buttons that secure them if you simply desire a sunhat. I will personally be keeping my neckflap for additional sun protection. Either way, given the lightweight material, you could potentially store these additional pieces in a pocket or small container for later use. All in all, if you enjoy hiking, fishing, gardening, or any number of outdoor recreational activities, I would recommend this hat for your needs.

I purchased this hat along with another similar one, which I was glad I did. The other hat was great, except the button on the mask that tights across your face broke and tore a hole in the mask, which the button was. The mask on this hat does not come with a button to snap together across the face as the other hat did. The buckles that connect to the hooks on the hat can be cumbersome to connect to. It would be a better design if they were buttons that snapped on instead. PROS: looks decent, fits well, mask has buttons that snap into the hat (MAJOR +, see picture), top of hat has a draw string to tighten, the back flap is long to cover the back of my neck (the other hat I bought was slightly shorter), the back flap has 5 buckles (the other hat had 4) which covered nicely the side and back of my head. CONS: would be nice if the buckles and hooks were replaced with buttons to make it a "snap", the fitting of the mask across my face/eyes were okay. It wasn't as "tight" as the other hat, but still works fine. This can be adjusted since there are 2 buttons on each side to make it wider or more narrow across your face. I have a trip to Havasupai Falls in 2 weeks. I'll see how it holds up.

I hate hats, I've refused to wear them even skiing. Now, needing to protect my pate from hot Hawaiian sun I'm out in for hours every day, this hat is easy and comfortable to wear, for hours. Super lightweight yet holds its shape after a few washings, the neck guard easily covers shoulders. Plenty of coverage from the sun - but not hot! I would definitely buy another one when this wears out, which it shows no sign of doing yet! Update: after a few years, I bought exactly the same hat again. Looks like they may have improved with rust-proof grommets. My only other suggestion - make the sweat band Detachable for easy washing, and maybe a second to snap in while the first is getting cleaned?

I was surprised by this sun hat. I have tried others that didn't really do the job. This hat will keep the sun's rays off your head, face and neck. It is very light weight and comfortable. I used it last week out fishing on the river, and no sunburn for a change. You will look goofy wearing it, but it does the job!

I ordered this because I can't breathe in the medical type masks that everybody's wearing during this difficult time. I will probably be attaching a filter of some sort to the mesh part, and later on, I guess I'll be all geared up for fishing! Ha! It's very lightweight and yet impressively high quality construction. I also love hats, so this is a win-win. I bought the charcoal color by the way and I really love it.
