I got this as a self-warming pad to top off another kitty bed (the pad from Kitty Sill). Together, my cat absolutely adores them and usually prefers to sleep there vs laundry, bedding, etc. This pad is pretty quiet; there's a very minor crinkling when walking on it. It does feel warm when she's been laying there, so I think the body heating function works. My kitty is medium-small and has no problem fitting with lots of extra space.

We bought this self heating blanket for our outdoor stray cat for the chilly nights. He loves it! I placed it on top of his favorite place to sleep and it works so well! These pics were taking minutes after I got the blanket. You do hear a little crinkling but it's subtle.

It was surprising when I first got them. Sure they are soft, sure they are cute... big enough for a cat (big enough for two if your cats like to sleep together), but I really did not think I was going to see any kind of warmth from them. But it is true, The heat generated from the cat's body itself does warm up the bed so the bed does become cuddly.

My cat, who is about 15, loves this. I bought two of them. He is not a big cuddler but he likes to be near me. I have one on his cat couch (pet sized furniture, so cute) in the living room and one on my bed as it stays pretty cool upstairs in the winter. He chooses to lay on this mat when he sleeps on the bed. Before I purchased it, I read the reviews and noticed some people comment on the noise. There is a crinkling noise when he steps on the mat and as he gets settled, but I do not find this to be loud. It does not distract me while I am working on my computer, watching tv or going to sleep. I really do not notice it. I would argue that he's a cat and will sleep on any blanket, but since he selects to sleep on it on the bed, I have to imagine, he actually likes it and helps keep him warm. So I'm happy with it!

I have bought 3 of these large-sized warming mats. The cover is removable and has a silky, thin, minky-like material on the front and the back is a thin polyester with little dots. My mostly-outside kitty is kind of particular and prefers a soft, fluffy fleece blanket to lay on, so I remove the covers that came with them and just wrap her blanket around the reflective inner layer. The inner layer is well-made with a binding around the edges and does not crinkle like some others. She uses it all the time outside on her chair and in her bed in the basement. I used one inner layer to line the floor and back of her house before adding straw too. It helps keep her warm when she wants to stay outside on chilly days.

My large cat loves this mat. He is part Maine Coon, so he’s bigger than average and he fits perfectly. He sleeps on this for hours and looks so pleased. He doesn’t usually like cat beds, so we were kind of surprised how much he liked it. It even fits nicely in his favorite chair, so he can enjoy it where he already likes to lay.

I ordered the 30" pad because it was the only size in the star pattern. Good thing, too, because two of my cats have been sharing it. The fabric is nicely soft, and should hold up well to washing. The closure could be better, but for $17, it's hard to complain.

At first I thought my cats wouldn’t like these. But it’s not about me my opinion doesn’t matter. My cats won’t get off of these they love em. The only reason they are difficult to wash is because the cats won’t get off of them. Otherwise it’s super easy to throw in the washing machine. Since this was a set of two I placed one on the office chair my cat has claimed as his and I placed the other on the desk cat bed that allows me to get my work done. Might have to buy another set so that I can wash these and switch them out without getting evil stares.

Both of my cats appear to be very comfortable laying and sleeping on these pads.

My feral cat loves the warming bed. She likes to stay in the garage. I have placed the thermal bed ( I have 2) inside her little cat house and she loves to stay on it especially now since the weather is getting cold.
