[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was in the market for a new electric razor when I got the offer to review this one for free. It's honestly the best electric razor I've used so far. I don't have super thick facial hair yet like I'm sure most of the people trying this product have, so maybe that's why it works much better for me. I've had no problems getting a nice, close shave with this. One of my favorite aspects of it is the precision trimmer on the back. That's really good to use when trying to trim up and even out my side burns.I also really love that I can do it as a wet shave too, because I like to wet and soften the hairs usually before shaving since my skin is so sensitive.

shaves dry beard close and quickly. Shaves wet beard with Shaving Soap very quickly and close as well. I have used many different electric shavers over the years and always wondered if this maker built a good shaver. I was not disappointed!

I looked at all the models that were much more expensive. I replaced my 10 year old model which had a higher quality feel but similar design and features. This one feels a little cheap compared to the one I replace but works much better. Seems to have twice the RPMs as the old one and shaves much faster.

I've owned a handful of other electric shavers over the years, and they've all been the ones with 3 circular heads. Some have cut fast but leave my face irritated. Some have kept my face smooth but it takes forever to get the job done - multiple passes, not quite cutting all the way, can't quite get a couple spots, etc. I was unsure how the straight oriented (non-circular heads) electric razor would work, but decided to give the Braun a try. This thing by far gives the fastest, smoothest, non-irritating shave I've ever had. It actually makes me wanna shave as opposed to avoid it because it used to be so annoying. And I've only used it dry so far. It just works that well. It also doesn't seem to get backed up as easy when it starts filling up with hair, and it's much easier to clean. I'm so impressed, I bought a second one to have at work at all times. As an almost everyday shaver myself, I would high recommend this thing!

If you're reading this review buy this shaver. I've owned a handful of circular head shavers and always thought they were great but this prsticular razor is so much better. It is easy to use and gets amazingly close. Search no more this is a great product!!!

I got this shaver for my father. He lives in a nursing home and when they would shave him he would get cuts. His shaver wasn't that old but it didn't seem to do a good job so I got this one for him and he's really happy with it and it does a great job. I'm thinking about getting one myself, and I have been a razor user my entire life.

My husband made the switch to electric and very happy with this Braun wet and dry razor. Smooth shave and fast! Great product-now my son is going to buy one!

I had my first Braun Series 3 for nearly 2 decades. It was not my first shaver -- I used to own more expensive makes, including Phillips and Panasonic. My new Series 3 has a replaceable rechargeable battery and does not need to be plugged in to get top speed. (In fact, it is designed NOT to operate while connected to an outlet, for safety reasons.) I get a close shave. (I don't have heavy growth.) My previous Braun could not get longer neck hairs, but this new one does, even after 3 days. It's easy enough to clean, even more so than the earlier version. I don't need to have a self-cleaning system.

Fantastic shaver! Ultra smooth shave like I’ve never experienced before, as close as a multi-blade razor. The retractable sides allow a fast close shave under-chin and other contoured areas. I was stunned at how much better this shaver is than any razor or other electric I’ve tried over the years (I’m 68). Fun to use, and beautiful easy-to-hold design - and works in water! Not a bad price for something that works as well or better than anything on the market!

WoW. Wish we had tried this shaver about 30 years ago. Bought this for my husband because although he's been a loyal Norelco user, seems like each one we bought got worse and worse. Braun has definitely earned a new fan and customer. And for half the price!
