Defective.

Battery compartment difficult to open. One of the two units in the package was missing AA battery terminals. I don't know if the good unit works as advertised yet.

Sturdy but ineffective against rats and mice.

I have had the Thanos device on my patio in numerous places, and the rats and mice don't seem to mind it.

Didn’t work for me.

Did not work for me. Put two in each car and the mice use them for a bathroom. I’ll stick with glue traps

Didn't seem to work.

The alarm never went off. They should put a "test" mode for the volume and maybe a volume adjustment so you could adjust the volume for the location.

Useless

Useless...sitting here watching a mouse come up right next to a unit. Lights flashing, little clicks heard, all meaningless. The mouse is just dismissing it all and ready to jump on my kitchen counters again. Maybe it would more effective in a small, enclosed space.

The mice pooped all over it

I developed a mouse infestation in my engine compartment/cabin filter area of my truck. Actually, I am not sure how many mice exactly. The problem has been solved with a combination of old fashioned traps and poison (killed multiple mice using .99 cent traps from the dollar store. I purchased the Thanos Repellant devices as supplementing my mouse trap strategy and I am disappointed with those results. The devices, out of the box, are easy to use, and require a few AAA batteries and the flashing lights worked fine. I cannot attest for the ultrasonic frequency emission from the device because obviously I cannot here high frequencies, however, I can attest that the mice had no issues with the device placed beneath the hood of my truck. I found mouse dropping around the device and a couple turds on top of the device. I continued placing the cheap mouse traps (old fashioned traps) under the hood of my truck and actually killed several mice with their bodies right next to the Thanos ultrasound device. Reading some other reviews, I don't dispute that some people have had success, but in my case the mice don't care and aren't frightened by the device, especially if there is bait placed near the device. I believe its a gimmick but hey, if it makes you feel better then buy it, or consider a different brand. Old fashioned traps from Dollar General worked for me at a fraction of the cost. This was returned.
