This item works flawlessly...

This item is a wireless network adapter. It is a breeze to install and works as designed and expected. It'd be hard to beat with another similar product.

Works

Download the driver first. You'll need a program to unrar the file. After installation a sort of colorful and weird user interface comes up. You'll need to select from the list of networks and connect from there. After that, it worked as expected, and now my computer can be wireless (except for the power cord, of course).

excellent way to connect a computer no matter where it may be.

The adapter connected with ease, and reliably maintained a connection to my wireless router. When I buy new desktops they will often land someplace other than where a internet cable is (kitchen table, basement work room, etc.) This device connects with ease and allows me the freedom to set up a new computer and get it ready for use where ever is convent.I think having a device like this is essential in case (which I have had happen) the wireless card on a laptop decides to stop working

Worked great!!! Installed quickly with no issues.

The wireless USB installed quickly with no issues whatsoever. I replaced my 5 year old wireless adapter that was crawling slow and things have sped up nicely on my computer. The wireless reception seems to be very good- no issues even with a dry wall between the computer and the WiFi source. BTW, I am on Win 7.

Works great and has all available bands at this current time

This is a pretty nice wifi dongle. It's inexpensive, and does the job for me. I have this on the lil woman's desktop, which is running Windows 7 on a Dell that is a little old and only has usb 2. We are using a cellular hotspot so we need wifi for our desktops. The dongle she had before just used 2.4 ghz band, and the 5 ghz is faster, but has a shorter range. So I jumped at the chance to get this for her since my desktop has a 5 ghz capability and my android phone does as well.We are using the N band and now only 5 ghz. It is technically twice as fast as the 2.4 ghz. Although I don't think we can push that fast a speed to our router. But we also get less interference, and the router is on my desk, so the shorter range on 5 ghz is no issue for us.I didn't bother installing the drivers from the included disk. I just went straight to the website and downloaded the driver from there so I knew it was the newest. The one odd thing in my opinion is that the instructions offered a tip to use the included extension cable instead of just plugging the dongle directly into the usb port on the computer. When dealing with antennas or wifi, or pretty much anything with wires, the shorter is always better. You get less signal loss. So I was surprised to see they recommend using the extension. Maybe to get less interference from the computer, I don't know for sure. But I used the cable as suggested, and it was recognized and driver installed just fine. I can notice a little more quickness on the connection and it hasn't dropped that I can tell, so this dongle is cool by me.

Inexpensive and Works With Everything

I have a laptop that has a broken wireless card. This little adapter fixed the problem without adding a bunch of bulk. The killer feature here, besides the size, is the compatibility. It works with Mac and PC, including older versions of the operating systems. My only complaint is the language and cultural barriers dealing with tech support. You get what you pay for.

Great little receiver

Great little receiver, we recently purchased a new computer, and set up our old PC in my daughters room, and needed something to get her connected to the internet. This was a perfect solid connection for homework, music and YouTube. Her room is about 50 ft from the router it provides us with a solid connection, windows auto installed, so we didnt need the CD, for the price you really cant go wrong here.

Flawless

So I have two laptops, very similar in performance - but one is older than the other (and cost more because it is on par with the newer one) and the older one only has 2.4Ghz connectivity. It is the one thing that keeps it from being on equal ground with the newer computer. Not anymore. With the Tenda U12 AC1300 Dual-Band Wireless Wi-fi USB adaptor it connects flawlessly to my 5ghz network and gets about 200mbs down and uploads (I have gigabit service, which gives about 900mbs plugged directly into the gateway, but only about 40mbs on 2.4ghz - so this is a 4-5x improvement!)Installation was simple and easy. It has worked without a hitch so far and hasn't dropped or anything. The only wish that I might have is that the wired connector was longer to reach a little farther from the computer - but it isn't short-short and it does work well. This is an absolute steal if you have a computer with 2.4ghz and you have a 5g network you aren't using to its full capacity. Highly, highly recommend this adaptor.

The Tenda 150mbps works great where size is more important than speed

There are lots faster wireless USB adapters. There are adapters with better ranger. But for a super small wireless adapter that works well, this is great! I got the 150mbps adapter that is the size of a mouse receiver. If your laptop's adapter stops working, this is a way to add back wireless while being able to keep it plugged in all the time. It's also great for a desktop when you don't want a big adapter or one sitting next to the computer. I've seen so many stick style wireless adapters where the USB port gets broken because it gets bumped. There are no issues like that with something this small!Tenda is making a big push to enter the US market and I've tried a lot of their products lately. I've had zero issues with any of them. I've called support and talked to what sounded like a US based tech support. The warranties are mail in, but at this cheap that's not really something to think about.I don't get as much range with this than with a Netgear one I have with an antenna that unfolds. I also get more spead from the Netgear. But for a lot of people with basic internet, 150mbps is a ton faster than their internet. I'm using this with the computer we have set up for our kids where range isn't an issue. It works, it's fast enough, and it's not drawing attention! I like it and do suggest it.
