Used 4 times with no problem. During 5th use while making pound cake low speed conked. Only had very high speed and finished cake by hand. You get what you pay for. Next one will be KitchenAid.

I bought this for my mom as a Christmas gift, it worked good at first. After about 3 months it wasn't so good, the motor seems to "bog down" when using it. I suggest buying the name brand for a little more money.

Got it today and I'm very disappointed. For starters, it doesn't look as shiny as on the pictures, but has a rather dull red color. Secondly, the material of the dough hook and mixer must be of very low quality. The first thing I did when I got the mixer was to put all part in the dishwasher. The dough hook and mixer came out with a totally different color and left my hands black when I picked them up (picture attached). Afterwards I saw that in the manual it states that these parts are not dishwasher safe. But I guess they are not safe for any use...not if they are actually painted and the paint comes off that easily!

The power and the look of the machine are fine. I've tried to make 2 cheesecakes so far and it was a mess. The bowl is fine to get seated and secured but getting it unseated when it has something messy in it is another issue. The paddle pushes 1/2 of the cream cheese up the sides of the bowl - I understand having to scrape but there is no room even after lifting the paddle out of the bowl to easily scrape down the sides and the bottom. I had to take the paddle completely off (messy) to scrape down the sides and to be able to get a big blob of cream cheese off of the bottom of the bowl. I am disappointed since this mixer seems to have pretty good reviews/ratings. That said - after disassembling and scraping 3 times (time consuming & messy) the rest went fine. It just seems like the paddle doesn't reach far enough around the bowl and deep enough into the bowl to get everything mixed in. I'll see how it does on cakes but from now I'll be using my hand mixer for cheesecakes - much faster and less mess. :-(
