NIGHTMARE TO SET UP! Took me around 3 hours just trying to set it up via the app. Did I end up setting it up? No. Did I take off the sticker and used a usb to just print via my laptop? Yes! It took way to long just in itself use my Mac/iPhone just to try printing it. Apparently it likes Windows. Does the job and prints, I hate how HP always pushes you to go cloud.

Purchased because it was recommended for teachers. Wireless doesn’t work in certain school districts based on restrictions. It wouldn’t even work when connecting it with a cord. Constantly had to troubleshoot on days when it decided to work. Returned the printer.

Slowest scanner I have ever had. A simple single page document in black and white took forever.

Printer works for the most part. Randomly will glitch and pages come out wonky. Try restarting and re printing page but it comes out wonky again.

Printer setup wasn't as easy as it appeared to be. Connecting the printer to my wifi was interesting and couldn't get my desktop to connect to the printer without a cable at first. Even though the instructions said you didn't need it. Once I got the wifi connection on the printer established then I didn't need the cable anymore. I wasn't able to complete the setup using the HP app but it prints and scans and that is all that I needed. I only had it for a little while but so far it works.

Decent printer. Difficulty getting app to print wirelessly, not a smooth transition

I bought the DeskJet Plus 4100 because I need a scanner and printer to work with Win10, Catalina and Linux. The hplip software that is supposed to support scanning on Linux is worthless. It is a mess of Python scripts that have not been properly maintained. The 4100 works on Catalina and Windows 10. If you need a printer/scanner that works on Linux, don't buy.
