My old mixer was the lift head and the bowl always slipped out of place if it was a dough thicker than water- no slipping with this bowl! Easy to pop in and out of place, beautiful color, and can handle thicker dough (like sugar cookie or bread for 1 loaf)

This mixer has significantly cut down the time it takes to complete the mixing process. This is my first time investing in a nice stand mixer and the first couple of uses has already surpassed any mixing tool I’ve used in the past. I love this machine, I’m very happy with my purchase, and found any questions I had about the mixer easy to find on the KitchenAid website. I can’t recommend this product enough

I’ve been wanting a more powerful mixer several years but I couldn’t justify buying one while my smaller one still worked. It finally died so I was able to step up to the 5.5 model. I really like the capacity and power, as well as the smooth start and speed control. I wasn’t sure I would like not being able to tilt the motor bur it turns out that I like bowl lift feature better. No more having it flop open when I pick it up after forgetting to lock it down.
