I have no idea how this has five stars. It’s all hype about brand name (like Nike or Yeezys), where it’s not anything special, it’s just the brand name that sells. I’ve never owned one and have been a baker, so I’ve always wanted one. I finally got gifted one and this thing SUCKS! It is SO inconvenient! Design flaws so fundamental that the designers would have recognized them immediately if they ever tried to use one. The bowl doesn’t lift up or down enough to take the bowl out. You have to detach the whisk attachment EVERY single time you need to add an ingredient larger than the dash of a tablespoon or smaller. The whisk doesn’t scrape the edges of the bowl so if you’re doing small batches, you’re whisking nothing since it doesn’t even touch your ingredients. You have to stop, remove the whisk, then scrap sides, repalce, whisk, stop detach, scrape, reattach, etc. every couple seconds when adding new ingredients and to just get a balanced well mix. Not to mention every time you have to detach and reattach you have to stick your hand on the actual whisk itself which is soiled in batter so your hands stay a wet dirty mess all throughout the ridiculous process!!!!!!! I hate this thing so much. Notice all the 5 star reviews are from people who got this thing for free. The rest are victim to the propaganda and aggressive name brand overrated hoax.

This mixer is TRASH. I wish I didn't even have to give it 1 star. It sounds awful, KA customer service is awful. It's just garbage!

Bowl bounces around like it's about to fly

The mixer arrived without the belt with the speed settings. Unfortunately, it was not straight forward to exchange it at the local Target store either.

USED item sold as new. Came with greasy dough fingerprints on the bowl!

I bought this thinking the top bended up so you could pull the bowl off. I don’t understand how anyone uses this mixer. I couldn’t get the bowl out without removing the whisk first. I returned this as it’s a major inconvenience and I was extremely disappointed. My mother had one from the sixties that bended up. I don’t understand how anyone gets the bowl out without removing the whisk first? Such a pain! Would never recommend this.

Not functional. Trying to get ingredients in the bowl and attempt to attach the attachment is pitiful.

Must remove mixing paddle every time!! I love Kitchen Aid, but this one is ridiculous. You cannot remove the bowl unless you remove the mixing piece ,,the bowl does NOT tilt, nor lower down enough to remove it with the paddle in place. In order to remove paddle. You have to push it into the mixture in your bowl. What a mess, especially if you are doing multiple batches of things, so now you need a plate or bowl to put paddle in while you are using your mixture. There is a dip/bump in bottom of bowl, so dry ingredients get stuck there, you cannot scrape the bowl with paddle in, gotta remove all of it to in order to scrape the bottom. I find this design a total frustration. Got it for a great price, but took it back, was sonsad because I have been wanting this bowl lift for a long time (or so I thought). Super disappointed

I have had a Kitchen AidTilt mixer for 25 years and it finally died so I purchase a new bowl lift stand mixer and I absolutely hate it. It does not mix ingredients together right. It makes everything clumpy. I baked cinnamon rolls and a pumpkin pie with said mixer and they both are horrible! I have made both recipe’s last week with a hand mixer and they turned out great. Also the 5.5 quart bowl is short/wide and liquid just splashes out! I am returning my mixer tomorrow!
